New Mercedes C-Class interior revealed with full-width Hyperscreen

Mercedes-Benz has previewed the interior of the upcoming electric C-Class, and the headline is hard to miss. A full-width Hyperscreen now stretches across the dashboard.

This is the same pillar-to-pillar display setup seen in larger Mercedes EVs, now making its way into the brand’s core sedan. It is optional, but clearly central to the new car’s identity. The screen itself uses a high-resolution matrix backlight system with nearly ten million pixels and multiple brightness zones. In simpler terms, it is large, bright and designed to dominate the cabin.

Beyond the screens, the rest of the dashboard follows a cleaner layout. A wide trim element visually links the centre console to the instrument panel, but most physical controls have been minimised. The focus is firmly on digital interaction.

There are changes elsewhere, too. Mercedes claims improved interior space compared to previous C-Class models, along with new seats that offer heating, ventilation and a full backrest massage function. There is also integrated 4D sound, which uses vibrations through the seat to enhance the audio experience.

Material choices remain broad. Leather upholstery is standard, with Nappa leather available on higher trims. There is also a vegan interior option, alongside different colour themes and trim finishes, including wood and carbon.

Even the panoramic roof has been updated, now featuring integrated ambient lighting with multiple illuminated elements. This update continues a clear trend. Mercedes is pushing further towards screen-heavy interiors, even in its more accessible models.

Whether that improves usability is open to debate. What is clear is that the new C-Class will feel very different inside, even if the basic idea of a luxury compact sedan remains unchanged.
