MG Hector Tomahawk EV launched in India at ₹19.49 lakh

MG showcased its new ADAPT platform earlier this year, a versatile architecture designed to support multiple powertrain options, including EV, PHEV, HEV and REEV setups. The first model to emerge from this platform is now here, with MG launching the Hector Tomahawk EV in India at an introductory price of ₹19.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The Hector Tomahawk is available in both five and seven-seat configurations. Here’s everything you need to know about it.

Design

Up front, the MG Hector Tomahawk features a closed-off grille, LED projector headlamps and LED DRLs. It also gets an illuminated MG logo, housed within a gloss-black panel. In profile, it gets 18-inch alloy wheels, black wheel cladding and roof rails. At the rear, it features LED taillamps along with a powered tailgate.

Interior and Features

Inside the MG Hector Tomahawk gets a 15.6-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto connectivity, and a digital driver’s display. It also gets a 10-speaker Infinity audio system. Other features include powered and ventilated front seats, ADAS, connected Car tech and cabin modes.

Battery and Motor

The MG Hector Tomahawk EV is powered by a 69.2kWh NMC battery pack paired with a PMSM motor that produces 150kW of peak power and 310Nm of torque. MG claims a MIDC range of 517km, while the powertrain enables the SUV to sprint from 0-100kmph in just 8.2 seconds. The battery supports up to 90kW DC fast charging, along with 7.4kW AC charging. MG is also offering a lifetime warranty on the battery pack.

Pricing and Market Positioning

The MG Hector Tomahawk is available in both five and seven-seat configurations. The seven-seat version is priced from ₹19.49 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom) and goes up to ₹23.49 lakh for the top-spec Essence trim. Meanwhile, the five-seat version is offered in a single variant, priced at ₹22.99 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). Bookings are now open, with deliveries expected to commence from September 2026.

MG is also offering the Hector Tomahawk with a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option, with prices starting at ₹13.99 lakh plus ₹4.90 per km.
