Maruti Victoris Launched in India at ₹10.50 Lakh

Maruti has launched its latest compact SUV, the Victoris, priced from ₹10.50 lakh to ₹19.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Positioned as Arena’s new flagship, the Victoris promises to be more than just a value-for-money badge, bringing hybrid and CNG powertrains, plenty of tech, and most importantly, a 5-star crash safety rating from both Bharat NCAP and Global NCAP.

  • Prices: ₹10.50 lakh – ₹19.99 lakh (ex-showroom)

  • Variants: LXi, VXi, ZXi, ZXi Plus, and optional trims

  • Powertrains: Petrol mild-hybrid, petrol strong-hybrid, and petrol+CNG

  • Features: 10.1-inch touchscreen, 10.25-inch digital cluster, ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof

  • Safety: 6 airbags, Level 2 ADAS, ESC, 360-degree camera, ISOFIX

Key Details

Design
The Victoris wears a sharper look than its Grand Vitara cousin. Up front, a full-width LED light bar dominates, with projector LED headlamps and segmented DRLs giving it a tech-heavy face. From the side, squared-off wheel arches, black cladding, and 17-inch alloys lend SUV muscle. At the rear, the segmented LED tail-lamps mirror the DRL design, flanked by a bold ‘Victoris’ badge.

Interiors & Features
Step inside and the Victoris feels far more premium than what we’re used to from Maruti’s Arena stable. The dual-tone cabin is highlighted by a 10.1-inch infotainment screen and a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display. There’s also ventilated seats, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, a head-up display, wireless charging, and an 8-speaker Infinity audio system. Even the ambient lighting goes big — 64 colours to choose from.

Safety
For once, Maruti doesn’t have to duck when safety comes up. The Victoris scores 5 stars in both BNCAP and GNCAP, and packs in 6 airbags as standard. Level 2 ADAS, traction and stability control, ISOFIX, and a 360-degree camera round things off.

Engines & Specs
Borrowed from the Grand Vitara, three familiar options are on offer:

  • 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol: 103 bhp, 137 Nm, 5MT/6AT, FWD or AWD (AT only)

  • 1.5-litre strong-hybrid petrol: 116 bhp combined, 141 Nm, e-CVT, FWD

  • 1.5-litre petrol+CNG: 88 bhp, 121.5 Nm, 5MT, FWD

This means you get everything from everyday efficiency to hybrid frugality — and if you really want to save, CNG is here too.

Pricing & Variants
The Victoris is available in four trims (LXi, VXi, ZXi, ZXi Plus), with optional higher-spec variants. Prices start at ₹10.50 lakh for the LXi mild-hybrid and top out at ₹19.99 lakh for the ZXi Plus (O) strong-hybrid.

Rivals
It’s walking straight into the ring with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, VW Taigun, and Skoda Kushaq. Unlike past Marutis, however, this one actually looks ready for a fair fight.

Summary

The Victoris marks a turning point for Maruti’s Arena lineup. It brings styling, hybrid options, real safety credentials, and a features list that rivals the Koreans and Europeans. For customers who have always wanted a Maruti SUV with brains, brawn, and a 5-star badge, this might just be it.
