Ducati has unveiled its 2025 Multistrada V2 and V2 S, offering a fresh perspective on mid-weight adventure touring. With significant updates to weight, performance, and rider ergonomics, these motorcycles aim to redefine versatility in the adventure bike segment.
Key Features and Specifications
The new Multistrada V2 models have undergone a substantial transformation, shedding 18 kilograms compared to their predecessors. The base model now weighs 199 kg, while the V2 S tips the scales at 202 kg. This weight reduction enhances maneuverability and performance, especially in off-road and touring scenarios.
The heart of the Multistrada V2 is its 890cc V-twin engine, delivering 115 hp and 92 Nm of torque. While the power sees a slight increase, the torque is optimized for smoother delivery, complementing the bike’s adventure-focused design. Both models are equipped with a six-speed gearbox, slipper clutch, and a bidirectional quick shifter for seamless transitions between gears.
Chassis and Suspension Enhancements
Ducati has moved away from the trellis frame, adopting a monocoque front frame that pairs with fully adjustable Marzocchi suspension. The S variant benefits from Ducati’s Skyhook Suspension, which uses electronic controls to adjust damping in real time, providing superior stability during braking, acceleration, and cornering. Additionally, the S variant features a "Minimum Preload" function, which lowers the rear suspension at the touch of a button for better reach to the ground.
Technological Advancements
The Multistrada V2 comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of electronics, including traction control, cornering ABS, multiple riding modes, and a 6-axis IMU for precise control. The centerpiece of the cockpit is a vibrant 5-inch TFT display, which on the S model integrates Ducati’s Multimedia System for enhanced navigation and connectivity.
Design and Comfort
The redesigned bodywork features a more compact and aggressive front profile, inspired by Ducati’s Panigale series. Ergonomics have also been improved, with adjustable seats, reduced heat soak, and improved legroom for both rider and passenger. The S variant introduces a stylish Storm Green color option, alongside the classic Ducati Red.
Market Position
With a focus on road performance and touring comfort, the Multistrada V2 competes with models like the Yamaha Tracer 9 GT and Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro. Pricing is expected to start at approximately $15,995 for the base model and $19,295 in the international markets
