It's the age of mind-wrecking cars, be it ice, hybrid or all-electric!

These cars, like the revuelto and 63 s e performance. give you enough reasons to question everything about physics, chemistry, engineering, gravity, and the aerodynamics and convince you that the world is getting faster and more exciting at the same time.

Suddenly there are cars by manufacturers, which are a bolt from the blue. Hyundai Verna has gone through a metamorphosis process and came out with an unimaginable design for a rather conventional sedan. On the other hand, Maruti Suzuki injected the Suzuki Baleno blood fused with Grand Vitara DNA to give birth to FRONX. Both these cars are interestingly disruptive with their design, tech & engine and will give the consumers an excellent choice in their segments. With its astronomical design and power with a pickup thrown instead of a boot, Hummer EV from GMC is another mind-wrecking car. Just trying to imagine that monster on Indian roads is colossal. It surely will be no less than a gorgeous tank without any missiles strapped on which has been let loose on the streets. One manufacturer that needs to come to India is Lucid Air, and if I have to pick one car over the company as a whole, it has to be the Hummer EV. We have the successor of the Aventador, after 12 years, the Lamborghini Revuelto, which is the latest in a bloodline that swirls all the way back to the masterpiece. A V12 engine producing 1001 bhp is basically a Rocket that does not require a fighter pilot license. One look at the Revuelto and a quick look at its specs and you will head straight to the nearby bank and hope for a successful Money Heist season 6.

Finally, we have the most mental, arduous and expensive AMG from Mercedes at Rs 3.30 crores ex- showroom giving you 1470 Nm of Torque and comes with a nameplate which reads Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance. I am finding it very difficult to concentrate on anything else until I have put my reins around the 63 S E Performance. These cars, like the Revuelto and 63 S E Performance, give you enough reasons to question everything about physics, chemistry, engineering, gravity, and aerodynamics and convince you that the world is getting faster and more exciting at the same time.

We have introduced two new sections, TG Long Drives and TG Weekends and took the BMW 220d on a Goa run and discovered to our amazement, that if you consistently drive at 60-70 km/h, you can extract 25 kmp/l, this was an accidental discovery after the tyres had burst. We had to drive with the space-saver tyre for more than 400 km, with three pax on board. In the TG Weekend drives, we spent the weekend with the Mercedes GLA 220d and concluded that the city you live in should choose the car you own. For something like GOA, even an S- Class or GLS is a total misfit, but the compact and agile GLA is perfect.

April is here, and temperatures are rising but remember to turn off the lights and air conditioning and keep the seat belt fastened.
