Then, there was the first MotoGP race for 19-year-old Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3) fighting against the experienced elites. Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Ducati) had it on his nerves to go up against the 2023 title winner, Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team).
The Qatar Grand Prix kicked off the Championship season in a way that exceeded fans' expectations. It was everything they had hoped for and more, setting a high standard for the rest of the races. 2023 World Champion Francesco Bagnaia from the Ducati Lenovo Team conquered the race with a bogarted gap. There was a dogfight for the 2nd position between Red Bull KTM Factory Racings' Brad Binder and Prima Pramac Ducatis' Jorge Martin, wherein, in the end, Brad managed to clinch the 2nd spot.
The fight for the 4th spot was a treat to watch, and it was quite nerving for the Marq fans. However, the battle treated the enthusiasts with utmost excitement. KTM rookie Pedro Acosta showed his classic skills and overtook Marq for the 4th spot. He also even set a new race lap record. Acosta's rear tyre faltered as the distance covered, leading Marc Marquez to take over the fourth position with lightning speed. Pedro further moved down to 9th position as Alex Marquez, Enea Bastianini, Di Giannantonio, and Aleix Espargaro overtook him in the race.
The race was cut down to 21 laps as Raul Fernandez from Trackhouse Racing had a technical issue just before the race. He did not finish the entire race and moved to the pits with four laps remaining.
Pecco Bagnaia is the current leader of the MotoGP World Championship, with a total of 31 points after Round One.
