Yamaha has introduced India’s first hybrid motorcycle in the 150cc category with the 2025 FZ-S Fi Hybrid. Priced at Rs 1,44,800 (ex-showroom), this new model combines modern design, fuel efficiency, and smart technology to enhance the riding experience.
The 2025 FZ-S Fi Hybrid features a sleek and aerodynamic design with sharper edges on the tank cover and integrated front turn signals, giving it a more refined and aggressive look. It is available in two color options—Racing Blue and Cyan Metallic Grey. A 149cc engine, now OBD-2B compliant, powers the motorcycle, equipped with Yamaha’s Smart Motor Generator (SMG) providing smoother and quieter starts. Additionally, the Stop & Start System (SSS) improves fuel efficiency by automatically shutting off the engine when idle and restarting it with a quick clutch action.
The motorcycle has a 4.2-inch full-colour TFT instrument cluster that connects to smartphones using the Y-Connect app to enhance rider convenience. This enables Turn-by-Turn (TBT) navigation powered by Google Maps, providing real-time directions, intersection details, and road names for a hassle-free riding experience.
Comfort and usability have also been improved with an optimised handlebar position for better long-distance riding and restructured switches that are easier to access, even while wearing gloves. The fuel tank now has a fuel cap that remains attached during refueling, which should have always been the case.
With the introduction of hybrid technology, the 2025 Yamaha FZ-Si Hybrid is taking a significant step towards the future of motorcycling. The updated model proved to have a better fuel economy, performance, and riding dynamics—all of this for Rs 10,000 more than the standard model.
