What To Expect? | Maruti Suzuki Opens Bookings For The Fourth-Gen Dzire

Maruti Suzuki has officially opened pre-bookings for its all-new Dzire, the fourth-generation model of India’s best-selling sedan. The new Dzire can be reserved for an initial deposit of INR 11,000, either online through Maruti Suzuki's website or by visiting the nearest Arena dealership. The full reveal is scheduled for November 11, with the model promising fresh features and a revamped design.

Exterior Updates

Amid the SUV market, the Dzire stands out in the compact sedan segment. Maruti Suzuki has worked diligently to give the Dzire a unique look that sets it apart from the Swift, its hatchback sibling. Inspired by premium European sedans, the new Dzire will sport a bold, expansive grille with six vertical slats, similar to Audi’s styling. The redesigned LED headlight cluster features integrated indicators, adding to its distinctive front profile, while a sportier bumper and fog lamps complete the aggressive look.

Additional style elements include dual-tone alloy wheels, Y-shaped LED tail lamps, and a subtle rear spoiler that adds a sporty touch. Chrome accents on the boot lid lend a premium finish, and leaked images reveal two colour options: a bold red and a sleek blue, enhancing the sedan’s contemporary look.

Interior Updates

Maruti Suzuki has elevated the Dzire’s cabin experience with a dual-tone black and beige interior, paired with a faux wood trim and silver accents that exude elegance. The top variant will have a 9-inch floating touchscreen, automatic climate control, central AC vents with a refined silver finish, and a redesigned three-spoke steering wheel. A semi-analogue instrument cluster with a digital multi-information display is similar to what the Swift offers, adding familiarity.

Notably, the new Dzire will be the first in its segment to offer a sunroof, 360-degree camera and plush leather upholstery. For tech-savvy users, connected car technology will allow remote access and control features. On the safety front, the Dzire includes six airbags, Hill-Hold Assist, ESP, reverse parking camera, ABS with EBD, and ISOFIX child seat anchors, ensuring a comprehensive safety package.

Engine and Transmission Options

Powering the new Dzire will be the same reliable 1.2-litre three-cylinder Z-series engine found in the Swift, delivering 81 bhp and 111.7 Nm of torque. It will come with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. For those looking for more economical options, Maruti Suzuki plans to release a CNG variant shortly after launch.

Launch Timeline and Competitors

With bookings already underway, deliveries for the new Dzire are expected to start in mid-November. This next-generation sedan will compete against other compact sedans, including the Hyundai Aura, Honda Amaze, and Tata Tigor. The launch of the new Dzire will also coincide with the anticipated global debut of Honda’s new Amaze, adding excitement to this segment.
