VLF Tennis 1500 Gets a Smarter Update with More Range and Colours

VLF India has updated its flagship electric scooter, the Tennis 1500, with new features, improved range, and fresh colour options — all at the same price as before. The updated version, now available for ₹1.29 lakh (ex-showroom), brings more value to urban commuters without raising costs.

New Colours and More Range

The most visible changes are the addition of two new colour options, Slate Blue and Ebony Black, joining the existing Fire Fury Dark Red and Snowflake White. However, the upgrade isn’t just skin-deep. The scooter now offers an increased range of up to 150 km (IDC), a 20 km improvement over the previous model.

It also gets a mobile charging port and a new LMFP (Lithium Manganese Iron Phosphate) battery with an aluminium casing, which improves heat resistance and enhances safety.

Still Designed for the Urban Youth

Designed by Italian automotive designer Alessandro Tartarini, the Tennis 1500 has found favour with Gen Z riders and young professionals, thanks to its European styling and city-friendly performance. The frame remains a high-tensile tubular steel unit, paired with 12-inch wheels, telescopic front forks, and a mono-shock rear suspension.

Riders can switch between three riding modes — Eco, Normal, and Sport — depending on road conditions. Safety features include disc brakes with CBS, a side-stand motor cut-off sensor, and full-LED lighting.

A 5-inch TFT display, keyless start, and 18-litre under-seat storage round off the practical touches that cater to daily use.

Looking Ahead

With the Tennis 1500 update, VLF continues to strengthen its position in India’s growing electric mobility space. The company also plans to introduce its next model, the VLF Mobster — a petrol-powered scooter — later this year.

A Brand on the Move

Motohaus India, which handles VLF's operations, has been focusing on adapting European design and performance to Indian roads. With its assembly base in Kolhapur and a growing showroom network, the company is positioning itself as a serious player in both the electric and conventional two-wheeler segments.
