Tata fanboys, it's your time to rejoice as the manufacturer has finally announced the prices of their flagship SUVs - Harrier and Safari. Just ten short days ago, facelifted SUVs were unveiled, and the world hasn't stopped buzzing about them since. The changes are pretty noticeable in terms of its design and interiors. There are also a few mechanical changes, and how well that translates into the real world, how they both perform and what an experience looks like. Tata Harrier Prices
The price for the base variant Smart trim is 15.49 lakhs (ex-showroom) and goes up to 24.49 lakhs (ex-showroom) for top-end Fearless+ trim.Full variant-wise prices for automatic trims have not yet been announced. The starting price for automatic would be Rs 19.99 lakhs. Here's a variant-wise list of the prices (ex-showroom) :

The prices for the base-variant Smart trim in Safari start at Rs 16.19 lakhs and go up to 25.49 lakhs for the top-end Accomplished trim. Just like the case with Harrier, full variant-wise prices for automatic trims are not yet announced. The automatic version will start at Rs 20.69 lakhs. Tata Harrier and Safari - Engine and Powertrain
Both the models get a 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 170 hp of peak power and 350 Nm of torque. The engine comes either mated with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Yes, no petrol engine is on offer as of now. In Harrier, as well as in Safari, the automatic gearbox is only available from the Adventure+ variant onwards. The cars get three terrain response modes – Normal, Rough and Wet – and three driving modes (Eco, City and Sport).
Tata Harrier and Safari: Rivals
Tata Harrier goes up against MG Hector, Jeep Compass, Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. Whereas Safari goes up against MG Hector Plus, 7-seater XUV700, and Hyundai Alcazar.
