Skoda has revealed the top-of-the-line variant of the Slavia, the Slavia Monte Carlo in India with a starting price of Rs 15.79 Lakh. You can book one for yourself from today, 5 pm onwards. In the release video, Skoda also showcased the Kushaq Monte Carlo, which was launched a while ago.
What Is Different in Slavia Monte Carlo?
The Monte Carlo version brings some visual changes on the inside out to the standard Slavia. These start with the Monte Carlo special red colour of the sedan. On the front, it has a blackened grille with a black surround compared to the chrome one on the standard model. This isn’t the only black element, as the roof, R16 alloy wheels and ORVMs also share the look. The fog lamps are also surrounded by piano black elements with black air dams and diffusers below them. On the rear, it gets darkened tail lights, a new glossy black spoiler and a black rear diffuser. The last addition on the exterior is the Monte Carlo badge on the fender.
Talking about the cabin changes, there are only two changes to the standard version. The first is a Monte Carlo special scuff plate below the doors, while the second is seats that have Monte Carlo inscribed in them.
Features of Slavia Monte Carlo
The Monte Carlo edition shares its features with the top trims of the standard Slavia. These include a 10-inch infotainment display, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, ventilated front seats and an electric sunroof. In terms of safety, 6 airbags are standard, while we expect it to come with a 360-degree camera and a level 2 ADAS suite.
Powertrain of Slavia Monte Carlo
There are two petrol engines available with the Slavia Monte Carlo. The first is a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol mill found in the standard Slavia and Kushaq. The engine can produce an output of 148 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. Skoda revealed that the Monte Carlo variant will get a 7-speed DSG gearbox.
The second option is a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol variant. This engine churns out 114 bhp and 175 Nm of torque. It gets paired with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox.
Variants of Slavia Monte Carlo
You can get the Slavia Monte Carlo in 3 options. The 1.0-litre engine costs Rs 15.79 Lakh for the manual and Rs 16.89 Lakh with the automatic. The 1.5-litre engine only comes with a DSG gearbox and costs Rs 18.49 Lakh. All prices mentioned are ex-showroom.
