Porsche Launches Macan EV RWD starting at 1.23 Crore!

Porsche has launched a couple of new variants for its Macan EV in India which start at Rs 1.23 Crore. These are an addition to the already existent single turbo version that has also become more expensive for users. It now retails at 1.69 Crore instead of 1.65 crore.  Along with this, it has also launched a new 4S variant that has a price tag of 1.39 crore.

Base Variant of Macan EV

The Base model of the Macan is powered by a single electric motor mounted at the rear, making it Porsche's inaugural rear-wheel-drive SUV. This motor churns out a power output of  360 horsepower and 563 Nm of torque. These power figures result in the 0 to 100 km/h acceleration number of 5.7 seconds. You can take this acceleration to a maximum electronically capped speed of 220 km/h.

Mid Variant of Macan EV

If you consider the mid-level version of the SUV, you will find that it derives its power from two electric motors. These produce a power of 509 bhp and a torque figure of 820 Nm. It can boost from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.1 seconds with a maximum speed of 240 kmph.

Battery and Charging of Macan EV

The part common among the three trims of the Macan EV is the battery pack. This is a 100 kWh unit. It gives a claimed range of 591 km in the top trim, 606 km in the 4S, and 641 km in the entry-level version. As it is underpinned by the PPE platform, it is capable of charging at 800V charging infrastructure that can charge it at up to 270kW DC charging. This charger can juice the battery from 10 per cent to 80 in a mere 21 minutes.

Extra Add-ons of Macan EV

The Macan now gets a new Slate Grey Neo Hue on the outside, along with 20-inch optional Macan S alloy wheels. Users can also opt for a new off-road design package that increases its approach angle and improves the ground clearance by 10 mm in all the variants.

Users can book the new Macan EV variants now and expect them to be delivered this year. The Macan EV competes in the luxury electric SUV segment, which includes players like the Mercedes EQE, BMW iX, and the Audi A8 e-tron.
