Porche Cayenne GTS Launched at 2 Crore!

The Cayenne has been the long standing answer to the SUV trend from Porsche. They have now decided to upgrade it with the Porsche Cayenne GTS and Cayenne Coupe GTS. The luxury SUV is quite heavy on the pocket, with a starting price of Rs 2 crore (ex-showroom), and the Coupe GTS comes at a Rs 1.36 lakh premium over the standard model.

Porsche Cayenne GTS Design

The Cayenne GTS gets Porsche’s Sport Design package as a standard fit. This pack has multiple features, like a glossy black finish on the wheel arches, the bottom of the wing mirror, the front grill, the rear diffuser, and side skirts. You also get a bold GTS badge at the sides, while the badges at the rear have a matte black finish.

The wheels spinning for it to move are 21-inch RS Spyders finished in grey. You can also pay a little extra for other sizes and styles. The bulky SUV comes in seven standard colour options: White, Black, Dolomite Silver, Carrara White, Quartzite Grey, Carmine Red and Cashmere Beige. If you aren't satisfied with these, you can opt for the ‘Legends’ palette that will further set you back Rs 7.3 lakhs. If that is not enough, 20.13 lakhs will get you the ‘Paint to Sample’ programme.

Porsche Cayenne GTS Cabin

The interior of the Porsche Cayenne GTS gives you the complete sports vibe with an all-black finish. It is a feature-suitable space with the top picks being the 8-way adjustable front seats with memory function at the driver side, a 12.6-inch curved digital instrument panel, 10.9-inch infotainment panel, ambient lighting, 4-zone automatic climate control, electric sunblinds at the rear, a two way split panoramic sunroof, 14 speaker Bose music system. Porsche has taken care of your safety by introducing features like cruise control, active speed limit, and park assist. You can get features like a heads-up display, lane change assist, and a passenger screen for additional costs.

What powers the Porsche Cayenne GTS?

Under the hood is a twin-turbo V8 petrol engine capable of producing 500 hp and 660 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission. This power is delivered to all four wheels with an AWD drivetrain. Putting this performance in real life, Porsche claims that the Cayenne GTS can accelerate from 0-100kmph in a mere 4.4 seconds. Porsche’s Adaptive Air suspension will handle the jerks while the exhaust gets a new dark bronze aesthetic. The brakes in the new Cayenne GTS are 6-piston callipers on the front and 4-piston callipers on the back.

Porsche Cayenne GTS Competitors

The Porsche Cayenne GTS will compete with formidable rivals in the performance SUV segment, including the Lamborghini Urus S, Range Rover Sport, and Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe.
