MG Windsor Battery Inclusive Variants Guide: Start at Rs 13.50 Lakh

MG Motors has revealed that the Windsor EV will start at Rs 13.50 Lakh (ex-showroom) when bought along with the battery. This comes 10 days after the company launched the Windsor EV at a price of Rs 9.99 lakh, with the additional Rs 3.5 per km to be paid in the battery rental program called the BaaS. The Windsor EV comes in three variants: Excite, Exclusive, and Essence. Here is your detailed guide on all three variants. 

Windsor EV Excite Trim 

The Windsor Excite variant is the base version with a price tag of Rs 13.50 lakh. In the exterior features, the Excite trim offers LEDs for headlamps, DRLs, and rear lights. On the side, it gets flush door handles and 17-inch steel wheels instead of alloys. It only gets the Pearl White hue. The cabin of the Excite trim gets a smaller 7-inch digital driver display and a 10-inch infotainment panel that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay. It is also enriched with the iSmart suite. Other features of the excite trim include the famous ‘aero-lounge’ sets on the rear, cruise control, automatic climate control, 6-speaker music system, automatic headlamps and rear AC vents. For the safety of the passengers, the Excite has features like six airbags, rear parking sensors, an electric parking brake, all four disc brakes, hill-start assist control, hill descent control and an electronic stability program.

Windsor EV Exclusive Trim

Exclusive is the mid-level variant of Excite and Essence. It has a price of 14.50 lakh. On the outside, the Exclusive adds 18-inch alloy wheels and chrome bits on the window line. It gets a Starburst Black colour along with the Pearl White colour. In the cabin, there are multiple additions. The leather seats, updated steering and different dashboard are the comfort and aesthetic additions. In terms of features, it first gets the 15.6-inch central screen, 8.8-inch driver display, powered front seats, auto-dimming rear mirror, power folding ORVMs and a wireless charger. The iSmart suite is also more equipped in this car with 80 features. On the safety front, it adds cornering lights and a 360-degree camera.

Windsor EV Essence Trim 

The Essence variant is the top-of-the-line version of Windsor and has a price tag of Rs 15.50 lakh. It does not bring any substantial changes over the Exclusive trim on the outside except for the panoramic glass roof that cannot be completely opened. Other than that, there are multiple paint options, including Turquoise Green, Starburst Black, Clay Beige and Pearl White. On the inside, it adds features like ventilated front seats, ambient lighting and a 9-speaker music system. MG offers this car with a 7.4 kW AC fast charger with this that can be bought as an option in other variants.
