MG Gloster Desertstorm and Snowstorm Launched at 41.05 Lakh

While we are spotting test mules of the MG Gloster next generation, MG has launched new variants of the Gloster. These are the MG Desertstorm and Snowstorm. Building on the base of the Blackstorm, the Desertstorm comes in a Golden colour, while the Snowstorm gets a white and black finish. Both of them start at 41.04 Lakhs. Let's dive deep into it:

MG Gloster Desertstorm Exterior

The Desertstorm is golden in colour, contrasted by black bits like the grille, door handles, roof rails, and alloys. It features red accents on the front LED lamps. It comes in both a 6-seater and 7-seater layout.

MG Gloster Snowstorm Exterior

The Snowstorm's exterior has a dual-tone pearl white and black finish. The headlamps have the same red accents as the Desertstorm's. The black bits of the Desertstorm also make their way into the Snowstorm. Its taillights have a smoked black effect, adding to their contrast.

Desertstorm and Snowstorm Interior

Both the Desertstorm and Snowstorm have black interiors contrasted with white stitching. MG also offers additional accessories at the deal level, including Desertstorm and Snowstorm badges, seat massagers, themed carpet mats, dashboard mats, and premium JBL speakers.

Gloster Features and Powertrain

The powertrain of the Gloster Desertstorm and Snowstorm is the same as the Gloster. It gets two engine options: 2L diesel guzzlers supported by one turbocharger and twin turbocharged. The first is offered with a two-wheel drive system producing 159 bhp and 374 Nm, while the other is offered with a four-wheel drive system that churns out 213 bhp and 479 Nm.

It has comfort features like a dual panoramic sunroof, a 12-way power-adjustable driver seat with massage and ventilation functions, and wireless charging capabilities. Along with that, it has safety features like Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Lane Change Assist (LCA), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Driver Open Warning (DOW), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), and Lane Change Assist (LCA).

Being a competitor to the almighty Fortuner, Gloster has struggled to entice Indian car buyers. Can these special editions change that?
