Mercedes-Benz India Launches Facelifted EQB Electric SUV

Mercedes-Benz India has launched the updated version of its EQB electric SUV, starting at Rs 70.90 lakh ex-showroom. The facelifted EQB features subtle design enhancements, new interior options, and the addition of a new 5-seat configuration.

The exterior of the revamped EQB includes a new grille panel adorned with Mercedes' signature star pattern, a feature that aligns it with the brand's latest EVs like the newly released EQA. The SUV also boasts slightly modified bumpers and a new horizontal pattern for the full-width LED tail lamps, giving it a more contemporary look.

Inside, the facelift continues the star-patterned design on the dashboard and door trims, which are backlit to create a visual link to the S-Class and EQS models. The interior also introduces Mercedes' latest touch-capacitive three-spoke steering wheel and offers an option for open-pore wood trim, enhancing the luxury feel.

The updated EQB comes packed with advanced features. It includes the latest MBUX infotainment interface, a high-quality Burmester sound system with Dolby Atmos, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a 360-degree camera. The SUV also incorporates ADAS Level 2 functions, 19-inch AMG alloy wheels, and seven airbags. Additionally, the EQB facelift is now available in both 5-seat and 7-seat configurations, expanding its versatility compared to the previous model, which only offered a 7-seat setup.

Mercedes-Benz offers the facelifted EQB in two trims. The EQB 250+ is equipped with a 70.5kWh battery and a single electric motor mounted at the front, delivering 190hp and 385Nm of torque. The more powerful EQB 350 4Matic features a dual-motor setup with all-wheel drive, producing a combined 292hp and 520Nm of torque. The EQB 350 4Matic can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in just 6.2 seconds.

The range of the EQB varies by battery size. The smaller battery provides a WLTP-certified range of up to 447km, while the larger battery can deliver up to 535km on a single charge. Using a DC fast charger, the battery can charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 32-35 minutes. For a full charge, the EQB 350 4Matic requires about 6 hours and 45 minutes with an 11kW AC charger, whereas the EQB 250+ takes around 7 hours and 15 minutes.

The facelifted Mercedes-Benz EQB electric SUV offers updated aesthetics, enhanced features, and improved performance. With its new 5-seat option and advanced technology, it aims to provide a versatile experience in the electric SUV segment.
