Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a new India-exclusive special edition: The Collector’s Edition, which comes at a steep price of 4.3 crores, 55 lakhs more than the standard G63 (3.75 crores ex-showroom). The car has been limited to 30 units and will only be offered to Mercedes’ Top-End Luxury Vehicles customers.
The car’s main objective is to promote hyper-exclusivity and personalisation, which resonates with India’s unique identity and acts as a tribute to the rich Indian tapestry and landscapes. This car has been created through a collaboration between Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI) and Mercedes-Benz India. Deliveries of the 30 units are expected to begin in Q4 2025.
What’s new?
This new edition features two bespoke India-specific MANUFAKTUR shades inspired by the country’s rich cultural heritage. The colours being offered are:
-
Mid-Green Magno
-
Red Magno
This edition marks the first time the G-Wagon will be available with the customer’s name engraved on the grab handle, which helps promote the car's hyper-exclusivity tagline. The car comes with a two-tonne Nappa leather upholstery in Catalana Beige and Black by MANUFAKTUR. Alongside is an open-pore walnut wood trim, which visually assists the upholstery.
In addition to this, a spare wheel cover is included, featuring a special 1 of 30 plaque signifying exclusivity, along with embedded insignia depicting ‘Collector’s Edition’ on a unique protective strip on the outside. The car rests on 22’’ Tech-Gold cross forged AMG wheels, which add a certain contrast and aid in delivering both road presence and performance.
Powertrain
The car is powered by a handcrafted 4.0L V8 biturbo engine paired with 48V mild-hybrid technology. This produced 585 bhp and 850 Nm of torque, enabling the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 240 km/h. This power is supplied to all four wheels through the AMG Performance 4-MATIC all-wheel drive system, alongside AMG active ride control suspension, for utmost comfort on all terrains. Additionally, launch control is available with the car.
Other Notable Features:
-
12.3 inch MBUX NTG7 driver and multimedia display with Android Auto© and Apple CarPlay™
-
Burmester® 3D Surround Sound System with 18 speakers and 760W output
-
Active Brake Assist

360-Degree Camera Systems
Conclusion
At a steep price of 4.3 crores (ex-showroom), this car faces tough competition from the more powerful Urus SE and the ultra-luxurious, comfort-focused Range Rover SV, both of which offer extensive personalisation options as standard. However, the car’s 30 units and India-inspired colour options can give it an edge, especially since there are no Indian-themed editions in this price range.
