Mansory has unveiled its latest creation, the Ferrari Purosangue "Pugnator," an extensively modified version of the Italian luxury performance SUV. Known for its controversial designs, Mansory has once again applied its signature styling to one of the most debated vehicles in recent years.
The Pugnator, which means "contestant" or "competitor" in Latin, features extensive use of forged carbon fiber. This material is visible throughout the SUV, covering the arches, bumpers, bonnet, wing, side skirts, door mirrors, and even parts of the C-pillar. The design of the body kit, which includes a new splitter, rear diffuser, and flared arches, significantly alters the Purosangue’s aerodynamic properties. Ferrari’s original design, which focused on balancing the vehicle’s performance and air flow, is likely compromised by these modifications.
Mansory's distinctive wheels complete the exterior overhaul. The front rims measure 22-inches, while the rear wheels stretch to an oversized 23-inches, emphasizing the aggressive appearance.
Inside the Pugnator, Mansory continues its bold approach, furnishing the interior with white leather and red carbon fiber accents. This combination highlights the company’s luxurious yet flashy design choices, clearly aimed at a niche market.
Performance-wise, Mansory has increased the output of the Purosangue’s 6.5-litre V12 engine from its original 715 bhp to 745 bhp. This is achieved through an ECU update and the addition of a valve-controlled four-flow sports exhaust, enhancing both power and sound.
While the Pugnator may not appeal to everyone, it remains true to Mansory's tradition of creating unique and polarizing vehicles. The company continues to cater to a small, exclusive clientele interested in highly customized and visually striking cars.
