Lamborghini Urus SE Set To Launch in India on August 9

Lamborghini has announced that they will launch the Urus SE in India on August 9, just four months after they revealed it internationally. The location of this launch will be the country’s capital, New Delhi. The Urus SE is the first variant of the SUV to get a hybrid powertrain. It is the second hybrid model after the Revuolto. These are the details of the soon-to-be-launched SUV.

Exterior of the Urus SE

The SE has some noticeable changes over the standard Urus. The first of these is the stretched bonnet that extends all the way to the nose. The LED headlamps are new, too, with a C shape instead of the Y that we are used to. On the rare, the tailgate is inspired by the Gallardo, while the tail lights still have the characteristic Y shape. There is also a new spoiler on the rear. Users can choose from 21, 22, or 23-inch alloys wrapped in Pirelli P Zero.

Inside the Urus SE

On the inside, the first thing you will notice is the 12.3-inch infotainment panel. This uses the latest software shared with Revuolto. The dashboard panels also give a more 3D look. It gets new seats with updated AC vents. You can choose from 100 colours on the outside and 47 finishes inside.

Powertrain of the Urus SE

The 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 engine in the Urus produces 620 bhp and 800 Nm of torque on its own. Additionally, the motor integrated with the 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission boosts the output to a total of 800 bhp and 950 Nm of torque. This motor is powered by a 25.9 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which can give it an electric-only range of 60 km at a maximum speed of 130 kmph. The power is distributed to all the wheels through a 4WD drivetrain. The acceleration numbers on this monster are 0-100 km/h, 3.4 seconds, and a top speed of 312 km/h.

Price of Urus SE

The standard Urus, launched in India in 2018, was launched at Rs 3 crore. The Urus Performante and Urus S joined the party later with price tags of 4.22 crore and 4.18 crore, respectively. Considering its hybrid tech and blistering performance, we expect the Urus SE to be priced above all of these models. At that price, it will compete with the Porsche Cayenne GTS, BMW XM, Audi RSQ8, Aston Martin DBX 707, and Lotus Eletre.

Do you think the Urus SE will cement Urus’s place in the ultra-luxury SUV segment?
