Hyundai Venue N Line launched at Rs. 12.16 Lakh onwards

Hyundai has launched the Venue N Line in India, which has created a new segment for itself as a sporty Compact SUV. It is the more sporty and driving-focused variant of the Venue, Hyundai’s compact SUV. The Venue N Line in India comes in two variants, the N6 & the N8. Each is priced at 12.16 Lakhs (Ex-showroom) & 13.15 Lakhs (Ex-showroom), respectively. Cosmetic exterior tweaks are the main area where changes have been made to this new offering. It gets multiple changes to justify the N Line badge. This badging can be seen on the front grille, the reworked bumpers on either side with red accents at the bottom, and the red accents continue to the roof rails and brake callipers. The car also gets a new set of 16-inch alloy wheel designs and a roof-integrated spoiler. The vehicle receives five colour options, two of which are monotones, and the rest are dual tones. The interior layout sees no change, but the cabin comes with an all-black interior with red accents and N Line logos around the cabin. The Venue N Line also gets a new three-spoke steering wheel design similar to the one on the i20 N Line and sporty metal pedals.

The N8 variant comes based on the standard Venue’s top-spec SX(O) variant. Features include an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car tech, a powered driving seat, voice commands, a digital instrument cluster, an air purifier integrated into the air conditioning system, ambient lighting and a dashcam with dual camera. The car also gets ambient sounds of nature along with Alexa and Google Voice Assistant. Safety equipment on the Venue N Line includes standard hill start assist, ESP and brake assist. The N6 trim has dual airbags, while the N8 trim has six airbags. The car also gets Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and an electrochromic IRVM. Both the N6 & N8 trims come powered by a 1.0L Turbo GDi petrol engine with a seven-speed DCT. The powertrain puts out 118hp and 172Nm of torque, same as the standard Venue’s turbo petrol DCT variant. Just like the i20 where both the standard and the N Line made the same torque and power figures. The car comes equipped with paddle shifters for sportier driving. Like its N Line sibling, the i20 N Line, the Venue N Line features a few mechanical upgrades that distinguish this sporty one from the regular Venue. The car gets dual pipe exhausts with a re-tuned exhaust note. The suspension and steering are also tuned to provide sportier driving through corners. Moreover, the vehicle has disc brakes on all four wheels for better stopping power.

The standard Venue rivals the likes of the Kia Sonet, the Tata Nexon & the Mahindra XUV300. But the Venue N Line, as mentioned below, has created a new segment for itself. It is positioned as a more driver-focused alternative to the aforementioned cars. Bookings are open now for a sum of INR 21,000/-. The car gets a three years unlimited kilometre warranty and up to 7 years of extended warranty.
