Hyundai Exter Gets Knight Edition For 8.34 Lakh

Hyundai has launched a special Knight Edition of the Compact SUV Exter at a starting price of 8.38 Lakh. This edition overhauls the car, mainly on the outside, to commemorate the model's first anniversary in India. It follows the Creta and Venue to become the third model with the Knight edition.

On the outside, the Knight Edition gives the Exter a bold appearance with a black painted side-sill and red bits on the front and rear bumper. The skid plates also get a black treatment instead of the general grey. The alloy wheels are black in colour in the SX(O) connect variant with red brake callipers, and it also gets a knight emblem. There are two new hues in the car: Abyss Black and Shadow Grey. Other car colour options include Starry Night, Atlas White and Ranger Khaki. Shadow Grey and Ranger Khaki.

The black theme continues on the inside of the Knight Edition, with a black dashboard and seats. These are contrasted by red elements, including the stitching, the red bits on the dashboard's AC vents, and the red footwell lighting. The door handles are also painted black, and the floor mats have red stitching. 

Powertrain of Exter Knight Edition 

Under the hood of the Knight Edition is the same engine as the standard Exter. It is a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol guzzler that produces 83 hp and 114 Nm of torque. This engine is coupled with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT. 

Variants of the Exter Knight Edition 

The Exter Knight edition starts with the SX MT for Rs 8.38 lakh, with a dual-tone variant for Rs 8.62 lakh. The Exter Knight SX(O) Connect MT retails at Rs 9.71 lakh for the standard edition and Rs 9.86 lakh for the dual tone. The AMT variant of the SX comes at 9.05 lakh for standard paint and 3.30 Lakh for the dual tone. On the other hand, the SX(O) Connect AMT gets a price tag of Rs 10.15 lakh, with a dual-tone version costing Rs 10.43 lakh

Rivals of the Exter Knight Edition

The Standard Exter competes in a cutthroat world of compact SUVs dominated by the Tata Punch. Other competitors include the Citroen C3, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Toyota Taisor, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite
