Honda X-ADV Launched in India at Rs 11.90 Lakh: A Unique Adventure-Scooter Crossover

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the All-New X-ADV, a premium adventure-style maxi-scooter, at an ex-showroom price of Rs 11.90 lakh. Bookings are now open at Honda’s exclusive BigWing dealerships, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin from June 2025.

Touted as a one-of-a-kind crossover, the X-ADV merges the rugged DNA of an adventure motorcycle with the practical appeal of a maxi-scooter. With no direct rivals in the Indian market, the closest alternative is the BMW C 400 GT, which is priced slightly lower at Rs 11.40 lakh (ex-showroom).

Design

The X-ADV stands out with its futuristic styling that effortlessly blends form and function. The aggressive front fascia is dominated by dual LED headlights with integrated DRLs, giving it a modern and premium look. The revised seat design improves ground reach, while thicker padding ensures comfort during long rides.

Practical touches like a 22-litre under-seat storage compartment with a built-in USB Type-C charging port highlight the scooter's urban functionality. Two bold colour options – Pearl Glare White and Graphite Black – reinforce its adventurous character.

Features and Connectivity

Tech-savvy riders will appreciate the 5-inch TFT display, which supports the Honda RoadSync system for smartphone pairing. Through this, riders can access turn-by-turn navigation, calls, SMS alerts, and music control – all operable via voice commands.

Performance and Underpinnings

Powering the X-ADV is a 745cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that produces 43.1 kW at 6,750 RPM and 69 Nm of torque at 4,750 RPM. Mated to Honda’s signature Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), the X-ADV delivers smooth gear changes, making it ideal for both city commuting and off-road escapades.

The chassis setup includes a tubular steel frame, 41mm USD forks up front, and a monoshock with preload adjustment at the rear. It rides on 17-inch front and 15-inch rear wire-spoke wheels, supported by a robust dual-channel ABS braking system.

Advanced Rider Aids

The X-ADV’s electronic suite includes ride-by-wire throttle with four default riding modes – Standard, Sport, Rain, and Gravel – plus a User mode for personalised settings. It also features Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) and cruise control, boosting both safety and touring convenience.

Pricing and Availability

At Rs 11.90 lakh (ex-showroom Gurugram), the Honda X-ADV is priced to attract premium enthusiasts seeking a do-it-all two-wheeler. While its price point nudges it into luxury territory, the unique combination of design, technology, and practicality positions it in a class of its own.

With bookings open and deliveries beginning in June, the X-ADV marks an exciting new chapter in Honda’s BigWing journey, especially for riders who crave versatility with a touch of adventure.
