Ferrari F80! LaFerrari Successor

Ferrari has just hinted at something big. In a 10-second video, the Italian automaker briefly glimpsed a supercar under a red sheet, setting the stage for an official unveiling on October 17 at 8 a.m. Eastern. While Ferrari hasn’t confirmed the vehicle's identity, it’s widely speculated that this could be the much-anticipated successor to the LaFerrari.

Earlier in June, a select group of Ferrari customers was given an exclusive preview of an upcoming model, sparking rumours that this new car would feature technology from the Le Mans-winning Ferrari 499P. That race car has a 3.0-litre, 571-horsepower twin-turbocharged V6 engine paired with a 268-horsepower electric motor. It’s rumoured that Ferrari might enhance this powertrain with additional motors, taking full advantage of the freedom beyond Le Mans regulations.

The teaser video pans around the cloaked vehicle, showing hints of a massive rear wing, sleek cockpit, and aggressive front fenders—suggesting an evolution of the LaFerrari design with a focus on aerodynamics. As shared by Ferrari's Hypercar Le Mans team, the connection to the 499P racing technology seems more likely.

Ferrari vice-chairman Piero Ferrari, son of company founder Enzo Ferrari, mentioned in June that a LaFerrari successor was due. He confirmed Ferrari's tradition of launching a flagship hypercar every decade, making this reveal long overdue, as the LaFerrari debuted in 2013.

Mark your calendars for October 17, as Ferrari is set to unveil its next flagship supercar.
