Time to face the reality! Italian marque - Ferrari has always been adamant about launching an SUV. Ferrari calls it a sports car – a practical one! Well, with the changing times, the brand needs to make itself relevant globally as well as in the Indian market. It's their first four-door sports car. Ferrari Purosangue launched in India at Rs 10.5 crore (ex-showroom).
Ferrari Purosangue gets a mid-engine hand-built 6.5L 65-degree V12 that revs all the way up to Mars at 8,250rpm. The engine generates a peak power output of 725 hp and 716 Nm of torque. Ferraris' heavy SUV is claimed to have 0-100 sprint in 3.3 seconds, with 200 coming up in a claimed 10.6 seconds. It has a top speed of 309kmph. All these numbers definitely make it a supercar territory. Purosangue comes in holy matrimony with an 8-speed dual-clutch rear-mounted gearbox system. The fire-breathing V12 does send some power to the front wheels, but most of that power reaches the rear wheels thanks to the rear-mounted gearbox.
Ferrari Purosangue bookings are closed till 2026. Bengaluru-based entrepreneur and avid auto enthusiast - Boopesh Reddy took the first-ever delivery of an SUV in India. He earlier owned a Ferrari F430, a 458 Speciale, a 488 Pista, an SF90, and an 812 Competizione. He is a well known face among car fanatics as he's known to own the finest sports and luxury cars in India.
I am eagerly anticipating the moment when I get to see it on the roads. How about you?
