Electric Gets Even More Fun | TVS X Performance E-Scooter Launched | Prices Start At Rs 2.5 Lakhs

Electric dreams are projecting fascination! The affordability of e-2W as a transportation option is widely acknowledged among Indian consumers. However, the release of the performance e-scooter X by TVS has generated great excitement among enthusiasts. TVS has finally launched the X at a price of Rs 2.50 lakhs, putting an end to the numerous rumours and teasers surrounding it. 

 

In terms of design and looks, TVS has managed to retain the clues from the Creon concept they showcased in 2018. TVS X is built on an all-new electric platform known as XLETON. It is built with a cast aluminium alloy frame. The maxi-type electric scooter would be the first of its in the Indian market. Starting tonight, bookings for TVS X will commence, and deliveries will be phased out beginning November 2023. Bonus- The initial 2,000 purchasers shall be provided with a complimentary smartwatch and a 'Curated Concierge' bundle valued at Rs 18,000.

 

The TVS X is equipped with a 4.4 kWh battery pack. It gets a PMSM motor that provides 11 kW of peak power, 7 kW of continuous power, and 40 Nm of peak torque. TVS X can do 0-40kmph in 2.6 seconds and has a top speed of 105 kmph. It gets a 140 km of an IDC range. The scooter comes with three riding modes: Xtealth, Xtride and Xonic. TVS has given an option of Smart X 3Kw fast charger that delivers 0 - 50% in 50 minutes, or one can get a portable charger that delivers 0 - 80% in 4 hours 30 minutes (950W charger) at Rs. 16,275(including GST). 

 

In terms of hardware, TVS X gets telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. Regarding brakes, it gets a 220mm disc up front and a 195mm disc at the rear with a single-channel ABS setup. The e-scooter comes with a 12-inch wheels. 

 

TVS X is quite feature-loaded. It gets a 10.25-inch TFT display that can be adjustable for tilt. The display can be customised according to riders' likings and preferences. Not just that, it also gets gaming, live video streaming and internet browsing. It will also have TVS NavPro, the onboard navigation system that will provide essential information regarding the charging facility and all. TVS X will have reverse and hill hold assist functionality. TVS has also developed a safety net system that would provide necessary information like crash and tow alerts with dedicated assistance. 

 

The TVS X, currently priced at Rs 2.5 lakhs, is not eligible for the FAME-2 subsidy and is the most expensive scooter in the market. The TVS X launch highlights the potential of e-2Ws, making a unique statement in the Indian market.
