Citroen C3 2024 Gets New Features, Price and Automatic Gearbox

Citroen has updated the Citroen C3 with some features while also increasing the price of the hatchback. The increase in price is either Rs 20,000 or Rs 30,000, depending upon the variant. Along with the feature addition, there is also a new automatic transmission as an option. Here is all that the new version gets:

Slightly Changed Design of the C3 2024

While the core design remains the same as it was before, there are slight changes to the exterior, too. These start new sporty LED projector headlights instead of the halogen ones earlier. These headlamps are still accompanied by the same LED DRLs. The turn indicators have moved to the rear-view mirrors. These rear-view mirrors are also electrically adjustable now. Speaking of the rear, there is a viper and washer on the rear windshield. 

Interior Features of C3 2024

The feature front starts with a much-needed addition: the smart key fob instead of the traditional key the car had before. On the inside, there is a 10.25-inch infotainment screen on the dashboard, a 7-inch digital driver’s panel, audio controls on the steering wheel, and automatic climatic control.

On the safety front, there is nothing to worry about, with the mid and top trims getting features like 6 airbags, Hill Hold Assist, ESP, ABS, tyre pressure monitoring system, seatbelt reminder, and ISOFIX child mounts. 

Powertrain of the C3 2024

On the engine front, the Citroen C3 does not bring any changes. It offers the same two 1.2-litre options, one naturally aspirated and one turbocharged, both powered by petrol. The naturally aspirated unit is a 1.2-litre powerhouse that produces 81 bhp and 115 Nm of torque. The turbocharged version is also a 1.2-litre unit, but it churns out 110 bhp. 

Until now, both these engines were mated to only manual gearboxes, a 5-speed one for the naturally aspirated and a 6-speed one for the turbocharged. But with the new update, the second engine gets a new torque convertor automatic gearbox. 

Price of C3 2024

Citroen has not made any price changes to the base Live variant of the C3, which still sells for Rs 6.16 lakh (ex-showroom). The Feel variant now sells at Rs 7.47 Lakh, becoming pricier by Rs 20,000. The top Shine trim has a new price range of Rs 8.09 Lakh to Rs 9.41 Lakh. Citroen is yet to reveal the price of the Shine variant with an automatic transmission.
