BYD has teased the Atto 3 2024 before its launch on 10 July. This facelift will attempt at making the Chinese EV a better buy with a new hue, fresh interior shades and some features. While the teaser does not reveal a lot of details, it confirms the 10 July launch date. BYD might also offer a more affordable option that will put it directly against the MG ZS EV. Here is all we know about it:
Upgrade Expected
The teaser of the 2024 Atto 3 shows the shape of its side profile and front of the car with just sleek white lines. Another teaser image says, “The Cosmos invites you”, which could be a sign to the new Cosmos Back colour that the Atto 3 might get with this facelift. If the international variant is to go by, then it will also do away with the “Build Your Dreams” badging. The interior will bring in new colours and a 15.6-inch rotating screen. There is also the fact that BYD now has the ARAI homologation certification that allows it to go past the 2500-unit limit on SKD and CBU models. BYD will be able to build the Atto 3 ub a CKD model from an SKD model, which will lead to reduced costs.
A New Variant
The Atto 3 might offer the customers a new small battery pack to make it cheaper. For reference, the current Seal comes with a 60.48 kWh battery pack that can last a claimed range of 521 km on a full charge. The new battery pack might have a capacity of around 50 kWh in the entry-level version. This new battery might get a claimed range of around 450 km. The Atto 3 currently starts at Rs 33.99 Lakh, but the new variant might bring this price down to around 26-28 Lakh.
