BMW X3 To Launch in India in January 2025

The BMW X3 fourth generation is expected to be launched at the Bharat Mobility Expo in January 2025. It will get the X3 20d diesel and X3 20 petrol in India. The petrol version was discontinued around a year back and now will return. This generation will aim to bring the X3 to the top of the sales charts, where it has failed to dominate till now.

Exterior of BMW X3

The BMW X3 has a new design for this generation. It has a large kidney grille with horizontal and diagonal slats on the front that lighten up with LEDs. On either side are LED headlamps and LED daytime running lights on either side. The sides have wide wheel arches and the option for 4 wheel sizes: 18,19,20, and 21 inches in the international version. The rear looks quite sporty as well. There is a smaller windshield and new arrow-like tail lights.

Powertrain of BMW X3

The X3 20 petrol is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, delivering 206 bhp and 320 Nm of torque, while the diesel variant, the X3 20d, offers 197 bhp and 400 Nm. Both engines come paired with a standard eight-speed automatic transmission. BMW has decided not to introduce the six-cylinder 30d in India. Still, a performance-focused M50 variant is expected to arrive in limited numbers by 2025.

Interior of BMW X3

On the inside, the X3 has a similar interior to the various BMWs we have seen in the recent times. It has a digital instrument cluster along with an infotainment display that we have seen in the 7 and 5 series. It also has hidden AC vents, an interaction bar and ambient lighting. The centre console consists of the gear knob and buttons for the camera, volume, navigation and others. The steering wheel is also a new one. It gets recycled upholstery all across the cabin and a panoramic sunroof.
