BMW X3 M340i Launched At Rs 86.5 Laks

German luxury brand  BMW justifies its sporty character first and luxury elements later. The brand that amplifies driving dynamics with its overall potent package is set to strengthen its performance persona by launching a performance version of its already existing X3 SUV. X3 M40i, launched for Rs 86.50 lakh, shares its powertrain with the M34Oi sedan. X3 M340i is being brought to India via a CBU completely built unit (CBU) and will only be available in limited numbers. One can book the X3 m340i for a token amount of Rs 5 lakh. 

BMW offers the X3 M40i in exclusive Brooklyn Grey and Black Sapphire colours. Being an M-badged X3, it gets an M Sport package as standard, including M-specific kidney grilles, headlights, tailpipes, dual-tone, 20-inch alloy wheels, and specific black surrounds on the windows, roof rails as well as on the slats of the kidney grille. 

BMW X3 M340i gets a  3.0-litre, 6-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that produces 360 hp of peak power and 500Nm of torque. All the performance is delivered onto all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox. BMW X3 M340i can go from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.9 seconds and have a top speed of 250kmph. It features four driving modes -Comfort, Eco Pro, Sport and Sport Plus. Being an M-badged BMW, it gets automatic differential brakes (ADB) with electronic differential locks as standard. Along with that, it also gets adaptive suspension, variable sport steering, and M Sport brakes.

Regarding interiors, X3 M340i gets an M interior all-black trim finish with Carbon Fibre accents. Flexing its M badge of exclusivity, M340i gets he M-colour stitched steering wheel and M-specific seat belts. On the feature list- it gets The panoramic glass roof, Welcome Light Carpet Ambient Lighting with six dimmable designs, 3-zone automatic climate, 464W Harmon Kardon sound system with 16 speakers on offer. There are two big 12.3-inch screens which are being used for infotainment display and instrument clusters.

Currently, BMW X3 M340i has no direct competition in its price bracket. However, it competes against the Porsche Macan S in terms of performance and power figures.
