BMW Motorrad India has just rolled out the new BMW S 1000 R – a hyper-naked roadster that combines aggressive styling with superbike performance. Bookings are now open across all BMW Motorrad dealerships, with prices starting at ₹19.9 lakh (ex-showroom).
Speaking at the launch, Hardeep Singh Brar, President & CEO of BMW Group India, said the bike isn’t just a machine – it’s a statement. With bold design, sharp handling, and plenty of adrenaline, the S 1000 R is built for riders who live for speed.
Colours and Design
The S 1000 R is offered in three striking options:
Blackstorm Metallic (standard)
Bluefire/Mugiallo Yellow (with Style Sport package)
Lightwhite Uni/M Motorsport (exclusive to the M package)
The bike features the iconic Splitface LED headlight with integrated DRLs, a compact tail section with combined brake and indicator lights, and sporty proportions that scream performance.
Engine and Performance
At its heart is a 999 cc inline-four engine, producing 170 hp at 11,000 rpm and 114 Nm at 9,250 rpm. That’s a 5 hp bump over the previous model. The S 1000 R rockets from 0–100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and hits an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.
The bike comes fitted with an optional M Endurance chain that’s efficient, low-maintenance, and built for track use.
