Bajaj Pulsar N160 was only launched two years ago and also recently updated a few months ago. It could be anything from listening to consumer demands to launching an unfinished product. Regardless, the Pulsars have been the breadwinners for Bajaj since its inception. Let us take a look at what Bajaj brought new to the Pulsar N160.
Visually, identical to its predecessors and retains the modern design. The major differentiating factor is at the front, the upside-down forks (USD). Talking with Akaash Bhadra who got his hands on the 2024 Pulsar N250, we almost concluded these are the same set of forks but only a little faded, almost blonde or champagne gold, your choice. Bajaj has reserved the flashier ones for the premium ones. More importantly, we can only comment on its manoeuvrability and characteristics after we get our hands on it. However, the eye grabs even with the subtle but contrasting colour is a welcome addition.
The brand claims to have also worked on the braking situation. The only other key update is in the indicator department where it was used to be halogen bulbs and now replaced with LED units. As usual, Bajaj has updated the decals which now show bold N160 on each side of the fuel tank, can't leave family tradition behind right?
On the other hand, the Bajaj Pulsar N160 was recently updated with a Digital instrument console replacing the old but cooler half analogue half digital instrument console. Although, it has Bluetooth connectivity for call notifications but still missing out on the tun-by-turn navigation like on the 2024 Pulsar N250. Talking about the peppy 164.82cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine which churns 5.68bhp at 8,750rpm and 14.65Nm at 6,750rpm. Including the 5-speed mesh gearbox, all the mechanicals other than USD remains unchanged.
The updated prices have seen an increase of Rs 7,270 for the top-spec with USD, which is Rs 1.39 lakh (Ex-showroom). Besides, Bajaj will continue to offer the Pulsar N160 without USD as well. The latest updates with USD will make a unique proposition for N160 where all other competitors fail to provide it till date.
