Aston Martin Vanquish To Be Revealed on September 2 With a V12

The Aston Martin Vanquish will be revealed on September 2, and we're excited! Why? For one, Aston has deleted all their posts just for the post declaring this date. Along with this post, they used a hashtag that said, "All will be Vanquished." This car will replace the DBS Grand Tourer in the Aston lineup. They have also released a YouTube video that shows the raw V12 enthralling users with its roar. This video ends with the same message: 'All will be Vanquished."

Different From the Vanquish Concept

The upcoming Vanquish will be different from the Vanquish Vision concept we saw at the Geneva Motor Show in 2019. That vision was to get a 3.0-litre V6 that could churn out 700 bhp. This was set to be a mid-engine beast but got cancelled. Aston has instead chosen the Aston Grand Tourer design.

Design of Aston Martin Vanquish

While we don't have any official images from the British brand, there are some characteristics of the Vanquish's design we can guess from spy shots. It will feature a similar body shape to what we are used to seeing from Aston Martin's present models. The Vanquish, on the front, will proudly feature the Aston Martin grille, which everyone seems to appreciate. Other signature elements, such as the circular headlights, will also continue to be seen in Vanquish. The rear of the Vanquish, however, is expected to have a unique touch of its own. We expect the rear to feature four squarish exhausts and a spoiler.

Powertrain of Aston Martin Vanquish

The upcoming Aston Martin Vanquish will share its engine with the DBS 770 Ultimate, which features a twin-turbocharged V12. This engine has gotten a set of changes from Aston Martin before it goes into the Vanquish. These include fresh camshafts, updated cylinder heads and distinct conrods. You can hear the sound of this engine on the official website of Aston Martin.

The V12, with the help of its two turbochargers, will be capable of producing a power output of 824 bhp and 1,000 Nm of peak torque. This is a significant upgrade over the one featured in the DBS, which could churn 760 bhp and 900 Nm of torque. Aston Martin said that they will be using this engine in more models, including the limited edition ones.
