Bentley has revealed the 2025 Flying Spur with a hybrid V8 replacing its legendary V-12. While there are not many changes in the exterior of the luxury car, it is completely updated on the powertrain front. This powertrain has made it the most powerful 4-door Bentley ever produced.
Powertrain of 2025 Flying Spur
Under the hood of the new Flying Spur is a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 that is supported by a hybrid setup. The combined output of the powertrain stands at 771 Bhp and 1,000 Nm of torque. This means there is a 19% surge in the power along with 11% more torque. It is mated with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Bentley claims it can sprint to 100 kmph from a dead stop in 3.5 seconds. The electric support is achieved through a 5.9kWh battery that can help it reach speeds of up to 140 kmph and also get an electric-only range of 76 km. This battery can be juiced up at 11kW in a span of 3 hours. The four battery-specific drive modes allow you to get the most out of that electrification: Pure EV, Electric Boost, Regenerative Braking, and Charge.
Exterior of 2025 Flying Spur
The Flying Spur's design is not very different from the last generation, but it has some updates, like a bigger grille and updated front and rear bumpers. It also gets a new diffuser on the rear, and it rides on 22-inch alloy wheels. It has an all-wheel steering wheel and Bentley Performance Active Chassis with Bentley Dynamic Ride.
Interior of 2025 Flying Spur
On the inside, there is a new instrument panel along with a new infotainment screen. This infotainment screen will support Android Auto and Apple Carplay along with over-the-air updates. The My Bentley App Studio will allow users to download third-party apps for in-car entertainment. The seats have a diamond quilt pattern complemented by 3D diamond design bits on the B pillars and doors. It also gets Bentley's Wellness seating that lets users adjust posture and automatic climate control for all 4 of them. There is a choice between 3 speakers in the Flying Spur. The standard is a 10-speaker, 650-watt music system. The other two are optional, including a 16-speaker, 1,500-watt Bang & Olufsen one or a 19-speaker, 2,200-watt one that features Active Bass Transducers built into the front seats.
Launch of 2025 Flying Spur
The updated Flying Spur will lock horns with the highest class of luxury cars, such as the Mercedes Maybach S-class and the Rolls Royce Ghost. It is expected to come to the Indian shores by next year.
