2024 Kia Carnival Launched in India at Rs 63.90 Lakh

Kia India has introduced the revamped 2024 Carnival in India at Rs 63.90 Lakh. The MPV is imported via CKD routes. The 2024 Carnival Limousine replaces the previous-generation Carnival, launched in India in February 2020. The Korean manufacturer initially brought the outdated generation to India as a test for a premium 7-seater MPV. Due to the Carnival's popularity among politicians, celebrities, and the general public, Kia decided to skip the pre-facelift of the fourth generation, which was showcased as the KAV4 at the 2023 Auto Expo in Delhi. The latest facelifted fourth generation is a significant update inside and out and is already available in international markets. Let's explore the 2024 Kia Carnival in more detail.

Exterior of the New Kia Carnival

The Kia Carnival measures 5,155mm long, 1,995mm wide, and 1,775mm tall (including roof rails). Its larger dimensions now feature an SUV-like body compared to the previous MPV style. However, as Deadpool famously said, the new Kia Carnival is not a minivan but an MPV. The raised bonnet with an enlarged Tiger Nose grille complements Kia's family design. The longer and sharper L-shaped DRLs with vertical LED headlights also resemble Kia's larger SUVs.

On the sides, the Carnival retains the powered sliding doors and subtle contours. The 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels add a touch of sophistication. The rear end features a almost connected L-shaped DRLs similar to those at the front.

Features of the New Kia Carnival

The 2024 Kia Carnival is equipped with Level 2 ADAS, powered sliding doors, twin single-pane sunroofs (one for the front row and one for the middle row), rear seat ventilation, 12.3-inch curved dual displays, 11-inch heads-up display, 3-zone climate control with roof-mounted vents, 8 airbags, Ottoman captain seats, 12-way powered driver seat, wireless charger, 12-speaker Bose sound system, 360-degree camera, TPMS, rear disc brakes, powered tailgate, and more. The list of features is extensive. Moreover, Kia has only brought the fully loaded top-spec Limousine variant to India.

Powertrain of the New Kia Carnival

The 2024 Kia Carnival is offered exclusively with a 2.2-litre diesel engine paired with an 8-speed torque converter automatic. This combination produces 190bhp of power and 441Nm of torque, sending power to the front wheels.
