In the wake of the rising front fork breakage issues in the Ola S1 and S1 Pro, the brand has finally addressed the issue with replacement(upgradation). The cases of the breakdown of front suspension have been the talk of the town because of the circulating breakdown photos of the vehicle on the internet. Multiple cases have been reported about the very issue wherein the owners have to endure the pain of injuries. Ola has been a bit negligent about the issue, and firm steps were being demanded and expected.
Ola has finally published a contradictory statement wherein they claim the strengths of its front suspension and goes on to say - "the front fork arm is thoroughly tested under extreme conditions and are engineered with a factor of safety much higher than the typical loads encountered on vehicles". Yet, on the other hand, the brand is offering a free upgrade to its existing customers.
Ola refers to this issue with the diplomatic approach and says - "as a part of continuous engineering and design improvement process, we have recently upgraded the front fork design to enhance the durability and strength even further ".
Ola will carry out the replacement, which they call upgradation, will be done free of cost, and the appointment has to be booked from March 2022. Ola S1 Air gets a conventional telescopic suspension setup at the front, whereas the S1 and S1 Pro still feature a single-sided fork sourced from Gabriel.
