The Indian auto market is growing at a momentous pace. Especially since Coviod-19 pandemic; luxury car makers saw an uptick in demand, thus resulting in healthy sales numbers. German luxury carmaker Mercedes India has officially revealed their sales performance, claiming to be the best-ever half-yearly sales with a total of 8,528 units sold from the month of January to June 2023.
Mercedes says the demand for Top-End Vehicles (TEV) grew by 54% in H1 2023. Not just that, but the craze for electric vehicles is also taking rapid growth, thus registering ten times growth compared to H1 2022. Currently, EQB and EQS are the luxury EVs driving the demand for Mercedes-Benz India. A new-generation GLC is expected to be launched in Q3 later this year. LWB E-Class is the highest-selling model for the brand, whereas GLE SUV is among the highest-selling SUVs for the manufacturer in India.
