Top 9 resto-mods of 2025

2025 has seen a spectacular wave of restomods — classic cars reborn with modern engineering, and bold aesthetics. These aren't just restoration jobs, they're performance-packed, artfully executed reinterpretations of iconic models. Let’s dive into the some incredible resto-mods of 2025.

1. Eccentrica Diablo “Pacchetto Titano”

Eccentrica’s reinterpretation of the OG Gen 1 rear-wheel-drive and manual Lamborghini Diablo already turned heads when they initially revealed their restomod. Now, the Pacchetto Titano elevates their craftsmanship to new heights with a fully exposed carbon fibre body. This isn’t just for aesthetics — the lightweight material improves performance and highlights the angular, aggressive form of the Diablo in a new light. The Titano package offers further customisation and refinement to mechanical and design elements. The nat-asp V12 stays, and it has gained new intakes to make some heavenly induction noise.

2. Ringbrothers Aston Martin DBS “Octavia”

Ringbrothers are known for bold American builds, but with the Octavia, they’ve crossed the Atlantic and overhauled a 1971 Aston Martin DBS. Underneath its dramatically reworked body lies a 5-litre Ford Performance V8, supercharged with a 2.65-litre blower. That’s good for 816bhp and 1092Nm of torque, all delivered to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox. The chassis has been stretched and redesigned, and don't forget the full carbon body!

3. Touring Superleggera Veloce12 Barchetta

After their stunning Veloce12 coupe, Touring Superleggera revealed the Veloce12 Barchetta, an open-top reimagination of the Ferrari 550 Maranello. Debuting at the 2025 Monterey Car Week, the Barchetta version elevates the already elegant lines of the 550 into something even more breathtaking. Key tweaks include redesigned roll hoops for a more cohesive aesthetic, upgraded interior materials, and refined aerodynamics. While staying faithful to Ferrari’s GT legacy, Touring's Barchetta brings fresh coachbuilding flair and limited-run exclusivity to one of Maranello’s often-overlooked classics. And we kid you not, this is one of the best sounding cars of our times, just google and have a listen!

4. Gunther Werks Project F-26

Gunther Werks, the Porsche perfectionists, have unveiled the Project F-26, a hyper-modern take on the iconic 935 Slantnose. It’s powered by a Rothsport Racing-built 4-litre twin-turbo air-cooled flat-six engine delivering an astonishing 1014 bhp and 1017 Nm of torque. The car features a new double-wishbone front suspension, adaptive JRZ dampers, and a re-engineered cooling system to handle the incredible heat output. The result is a track weapon disguised as a rolling sculpture — equal parts engineering marvel and tribute to Porsche’s racing heritage. What a looker!

5. Gordon Murray GMSV S1 LM

Gordon Murray, famed for designing the McLaren F1, has launched a new Special Vehicles division (GMSV), and their first creation, the S1 LM, pays homage to the F1 GTR that triumphed at Le Mans in 1995. While details remain under wraps, it’s clear the S1 LM is no ordinary car. Not a resto-mod technically, as its a ground-up vehicle. It's a highly bespoke, lightweight supercar designed with obsessive attention to detail. The S1 LM embraces manual gearboxes, naturally aspirated engines, and aero purity — all features Murray champions. As a modern-day F1 alternative, this is a love letter to the analog era of performance cars.

6. AC Cars Cobra GT Supersport

British brand AC Cars has returned to the spotlight with a modern take on their legendary Cobra. Dubbed the GT Supersport, this hand-built monster features a heavily modified V8 engine producing up to 1,039bhp and 1391Nm of torque. Beyond sheer power, AC has widened the track, added significant aerodynamic features including a new splitter and large rear wing, and refined cooling. With just 25 units to be built, available in blue, orange, or white, and deliveries set for 2027, the Supersport is a thunderous celebration of old-school power wrapped in modern engineering.

7. Singer x Red Bull Porsche 911 G-Series Carrera Coupe

Singer, in collaboration with Red Bull Advanced Technologies and Cosworth, has unleashed its most technologically advanced build yet: the 911 Carrera Coupe Reimagined. Based on the G-series 911, this wide-body masterpiece features bodywork inspired by the Turbo but retains a naturally aspirated engine. Cosworth designed a high-revving 4.0L flat-six with variable valve timing and water-cooled heads, producing 426bhp and capable of revving to 8000rpm. Red Bull’s expertise helped Singer develop a stiffer, more agile chassis.

8. Get Lost Project Safari (Lotus Elise S1)

When a professional automotive photographer dreams up a car, you expect something visually striking — and the 'Project Safari' from new brand Get Lost doesn’t disappoint. Based on the Lotus Elise S1, this off-road reimagining features a custom roof scoop, rectangular headlights, and a totally redesigned interior. Every aspect of the Elise’s minimalist design was reconsidered to handle off-road challenges and create an aesthetic unlike anything else on the road. With production starting in late 2025, Project Safari is both a design statement and a capable off-road performer, channeling the Lotus spirit through a fresh lens.

9. TWR Supercat (Jaguar XJS)

TWR, the legendary outfit once behind Jaguar’s Le Mans victories, has returned with a vengeance. The Supercat is a completely reimagined Jaguar XJS, equipped with a 5.6-litre dry-sumped, supercharged V12 producing 669bhp and 730Nm of torque. Power is delivered via a six-speed manual and limited-slip differential. The car features a carbon fibre body, massive chassis reinforcements, adjustable ABS, and six-piston front calipers. Dripping in menace, the Supercat weighs just 1605 kg and looks like something Batman might drive. It pays tribute to TWR’s historic XJS touring cars while forging its own path in today’s restomod scene.
