Range Rover has introduced the Sport SV Black, a new iteration of its high-performance SUV, designed with an unwavering commitment to a monochrome aesthetic. Positioned as a direct-from-factory, comprehensive blacked-out model.

Exterior Execution: The 'Dipped in Black' Philosophy
The Range Rover Sport SV Black distinguishes itself through an extensive application of Gloss Black finishes across its exterior. The body is presented in Narvik Black, complemented by a full Narvik Gloss Black Exterior Pack. This treatment extends to details previously untouched, including the Range Rover SV roundel and brand badges on the front grille, now rendered in black ceramic. Further emphasising the unified dark theme are a black-painted carbon fibre bonnet, Gloss Black Forged 23-inch alloy wheels, and Gloss Black brake callipers. The quad exhaust finishers also receive the Gloss Black treatment, contributing to the vehicle’s stealthy appearance. The design intent is to present a vehicle that appears "dipped in gloss," offering a bold interpretation of sporting luxury without overt visual embellishments.
Interior Environment: Dark Refinement
Inside, the monochrome theme continues. The cabin is upholstered in tactile Ebony Windsor leather for the sculpted performance seats. New SV Black illuminated treadplates are integrated, providing a subtle visual cue upon entry. Gloss Grand Black finishers are utilised throughout the interior, ensuring a consistent dark aesthetic. The integration of advanced features such as the "Body and Soul Seats" (BASS) remains, offering a sensory audio system with wellness benefits through vibro-acoustic technology.
Powertrain and Dynamic Capabilities
Underpinning the Range Rover Sport SV Black is the same powertrain as the standard SV: a 4.4-litre Twin Turbo MHEV V8 petrol engine. This unit generates 626bhp and 750Nm of torque. Performance figures are robust for an SUV of this size; the SV Black is capable of accelerating from 0 to 98kmph in 3.6 seconds (0-100kmph in approximately the same timeframe) and achieves a top speed of 290 kmph.
The vehicle retains the sophisticated 6D Dynamics Suspension system, a key technological differentiator for the SV models. This system features hydraulic interlinked dampers and height-adjustable air springs, designed to minimise body pitch and roll during dynamic driving scenarios, enhancing both handling and ride composure. The vehicle's dynamic potential is further supported by this integrated suspension technology.
