2027 Maserati lineup unveiled: Refreshed GranTurismo, GranCabrio And Grecale

As Maserati celebrates the centenary of its iconic Trident logo, the Italian marque has unveiled a comprehensive update for its core lineup. The GranTurismo, GranCabrio and Grecale have all received significant revisions, bringing more powerful engines, improved electric performance, fresh styling, upgraded technology and a broader range of configurations.

More importantly, the updates underline Maserati's commitment to offering both combustion and electric powertrains, giving customers the freedom to choose between traditional performance and electrified capability. Rather than committing exclusively to one technology, Maserati is refining both simultaneously as it enters the next chapter of its history.

Nettuno V6 Gets More Power

The headline change comes from the GranTurismo and GranCabrio range. Maserati's twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre Nettuno V6 has been enhanced to produce up to 590hp, making it the most powerful road-going version of the engine yet.

The revised powertrain combines the brand's Formula 1-inspired pre-chamber combustion technology with all-wheel drive and adaptive air suspension, delivering greater performance without compromising the long-distance refinement that has always defined Maserati's grand tourers.

Trofeo models now receive a standard Sportivo exhaust system, designed to enhance the soundtrack and make the driving experience even more engaging.

The range itself has also been reorganised to offer a clearer distinction between luxury and performance. Alongside the Trofeo sits a 490hp version focused on comfort and grand touring, while the flagship performance variants receive forged Pegaso wheels, carbon-fibre exterior details, an electronic limited-slip differential and a more aggressive overall setup.

Inspired By Maserati's Most Extreme Machines

Visually, the updated GranTurismo and GranCabrio take inspiration from some of Maserati's most exclusive models, including the MCXtrema, GT2 Stradale and MCPURA.

The front fascia has been redesigned with larger air intakes, a lower visual stance and more aggressive aerodynamic elements. New wheel designs further sharpen the appearance, while optional gloss-black Trident wheels increase the track width by 10mm, improving both stance and handling precision.

At the rear, revised lighting elements and subtle styling updates modernise the cars without altering their unmistakable Maserati identity.

Maserati has also significantly expanded its Fuoriserie personalization programme. Buyers can now choose from seven new exterior colours, additional wheel designs, new brake caliper finishes and a broader range of bespoke specifications that allow for almost limitless customization.

A More Digital And More Luxurious Cabin

Inside, the upgrades are equally comprehensive.

The cabin now features a redesigned steering wheel inspired by Maserati's motorsport activities, while the signature digital clock receives a new octagonal design and updated graphics. The PRND controls have been reworked with metallic finishes to improve tactile quality, and a new driver-monitoring system can detect signs of distraction and fatigue.

Technology remains a key focus throughout the cabin. Drivers are greeted by a 12.2-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch central infotainment touchscreen and an additional 8.8-inch comfort display for climate and vehicle functions. A head-up display is also available, while Maserati has revised the software interface throughout the cabin to improve usability and responsiveness.

The result is an interior that feels more modern, more intuitive and more premium than ever before.

Grecale Expands With New V6 Variants

The Grecale SUV receives perhaps the broadest expansion of the entire lineup.

Maserati has introduced new V6-powered variants that bridge the gap between the four-cylinder models and the range-topping Trofeo. At the heart of these new versions is a 390hp iteration of the Nettuno V6, bringing the brand's Formula 1-derived combustion technology to a wider audience.

Maserati says the engine delivers 32 percent more torque at 2,000rpm than the previous 2.0-litre unit, resulting in stronger low-speed response and greater flexibility in everyday driving.

As a result, the Grecale range now spans an unusually wide spectrum of performance levels. Entry-level versions continue with 250hp and 300hp mild-hybrid powertrains, while the Modena develops 330hp. Above them sit the new 390hp V6 variants, creating a more natural progression through the range before buyers reach the flagship Trofeo.

The Trofeo itself remains powered by a 530hp version of the Nettuno V6 and continues to serve as the performance benchmark of the lineup, capable of sprinting from 0-100kph in just 3.8 seconds and reaching a top speed of 285kph.

Folgore Continues To Lead Maserati's EV Push

Electrification continues to play a major role through the Folgore models.

Both the GranTurismo Folgore and GranCabrio Folgore use an advanced 800-volt electrical architecture paired with three electric motors. Together, they produce up to 760hp at the wheels and enable sophisticated torque-vectoring capabilities that help preserve the dynamic character expected of a Maserati.

Maserati has also introduced new software enhancements, including an updated Corsa mode, a new Max Range mode and a Performance Optimizer function capable of unlocking additional power when conditions allow.

The improvements extend to efficiency as well. Maserati claims the GranTurismo Folgore now offers a driving range of more than 540km, while the GranCabrio Folgore continues to position itself as one of the most extreme electric convertibles on the market. With a claimed top speed of 290kph, Maserati describes it as the fastest electric luxury convertible currently available.

Better Range For The Grecale Folgore

The all-electric Grecale Folgore has not been forgotten either.

Maserati has introduced a series of aerodynamic and efficiency improvements, including a new Air Grille Shutter system, revised airflow management and more efficient tyre technology. Depending on specification and wheel size, these changes can add between 9km and 53km of additional range.

The result is a maximum claimed WLTP range of up to 580km, making the Folgore an even more compelling alternative for buyers considering an electric luxury SUV.

Taken together, these updates represent one of the most significant product overhauls Maserati has undertaken in recent years.

Rather than choosing between petrol and electric power, the company is investing heavily in both. Buyers can now choose from high-output Nettuno V6 engines producing up to 590hp, sophisticated mild-hybrid powertrains, or cutting-edge Folgore EV technology delivering up to 760hp and more than 540km of range.

As Maserati enters the second century of the Trident, the message is clear. The brand is embracing electrification, but it isn't prepared to abandon the qualities that have defined it for decades. Whether it's a V6-powered GranTurismo Trofeo, an all-electric Folgore or a newly expanded Grecale range, Maserati's latest lineup is designed to offer more performance, more personalization and more choice than ever before.
