Bajaj Auto has launched the all-new Pulsar N125 in the country. The motorcycle is offered in two variants. Prices start from ₹94,707/- for the LED Disc variant, while the top variant, LED Disc BT, costs ₹98,707/-. The additional ₹4,000 for the top variant provides a thicker rear tyre, a full TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, auto start/stop assist, and a 2.5 kg lighter weight.
The Pulsar N125 is Bajaj's fourth 125cc offering, following the CT 125X, Freedom 125, and the classic Pulsar 125. It is the sixth model in the N series and the 14th in the current Pulsar lineup. The Pulsar N125 is aimed at first-time buyers and young students, likely in response to the strong appeal created by competitors like the TVS Raider and Hero Xtreme 125R. The Pulsar name has been iconic among younger generations for the past 23 years. Bajaj introduced the N125 to fill the demand for a modern, entry-level, sporty petrol commuter motorcycle.
Bajaj Pulsar N125 Exterior
Starting with the front, the headlamp set features LED lighting, while the indicators are still halogen, similar to those seen on the recently launched Bajaj Freedom. The front end has a friendlier appearance compared to its N series siblings. The twin telescopic forks are fully covered. As indicated by the variant name, 240mm front disc brakes come standard. Both variants feature 17-inch minimalist alloy wheels. The rear tyre size for the top variant is 110/80-17, while the base model comes with 100/90-17 tyres. Both models have the same front tyre size, 80/100-17.
On the side, the motorcycle looks a bit bare in the lower half compared to its angular top section. The standout feature for us is the tank shrouds, which are similar to those of its larger sibling, maintaining the signature shoulder line and giving the bike a bulkier appearance. The split seats are designed to create a sportier look and provide ample space for the rider and the pillion. However, the longer seat slightly intrudes into the tank section. The fuel tank has a capacity of 9.7 litres. For added convenience, Bajaj retains the trusty Kickstarter. The exhaust is neatly tucked in the underbelly, adding to the bike's overall flair.
At the rear, the design is simple yet appealing. The grab handles are noticeably painted in contrasting colours. The adjustable mono-shock rear suspension, coloured red, complements the bike's sporty characteristics. The Bajaj Pulsar N125 is available in 7 colour options across the variants.
Bajaj Pulsar N125 Engine and Specifications
The Bajaj Pulsar N125 is equipped with a brand-new 124.58cc engine that produces 11.58 bhp (or 12 PS), making it the most powerful in its segment. The engine also delivers 11Nm of torque, which is just 0.2 Nm less than the TVS Raider and 0.5 Nm more than the Hero Xtreme 125R. Bajaj claims this engine is not shared with any of their motorcycles, and it has a unique square bore-to-stroke ratio. The Indian manufacturer claims a fuel economy of 60 kmpl. The motorcycle has a ground clearance of 198mm.
The Bajaj Pulsar N125 will be available for sale in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi regions starting this festive season. The bike will be rolled out to the rest of India in phases and will be available nationwide by January 2025.
