Updated Jawa 350 Launched - Gets New Colours and Alloy Wheels

It has only been a few months since Jawa launched the Jawa 350, a replacement for the Jawa Jawa which was on sale earlier. We rode the motorcycle in the serene backdrop of Bhuj and came impressed with the ride experience and how authentically retro the Jawa 350 looks. Despite its relevance, Classic Legends has decided to update the Jawa 350 range with a bunch of new colours and the provision of opting for alloy wheels instead of standard spoke wheels.

The Jawa 350 was initially launched at INR 2.15 Lakh but with the introduction of new, single-tone colours, the price has now gone down to INR 1.99 Lakh. Impressive. The newly introduced colours include Obsidian Black, Grey and Deep Forest. Now that the Jawa 350 is priced more aggressively than before, we can expect it to take a better stand against its rivals like the RE Classic 350, Honda CB350 and the Hero Mavrick 440. We already know that the Jawa 350 is a promising motorcycle and with the recent reduction in its price, it is surely going to attract more motorcyclists looking forward to acquiring a gorgeous retro beauty.

What has also made the new Jawa 350 even more desirable than before is the induction of alloy wheels. Sure, spoke wheels look cool and add to the authenticity of a retro motorcycle but what are you going to do in case of a puncture in the middle of nowhere? Gawk at your beautiful motorcycle? Alloy wheels have made possible the inclusion of tubeless tyres, aiding convenience. However, if you’re willing to compromise on convenience for authenticity, it can still be had with spoke wheels. The alloy wheel variants will set you back by INR 10,000 more than their spoke wheels counterparts. Moreover, the Jawa 350 chrome series has also seen the edition of a new white colour which looks striking.

Mechanically, the Jawa 350 remains untouched. Like a rare flower higher up in the Himalayas. It is powered by the same 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that puts down 22bhp and 28.2Nm. This heavily updated powertrain is paired with a six-speed gearbox. Classic Legends might have reduced the overall grunt on offer, at least on paper but out in the real world, the 350 impresses with its focus on low and mid range grunt.
