Carbonado Gaming Backpack Review

Backpacks play an essential role in any motorcyclist’s life on the road. So much so that we cannot even imagine surviving without one, me particularly. Luckily for Indian motorcyclists, there are a few great options available in the market today and that too, at affordable prices. One key player in this segment, particularly Carbonado, has been rolling out quite a few impressive luggage solutions for Indian motorcyclists. Since I was searching for a good backpack for my office commutes and frequent travel, space was of prime concern. I wanted something that could not only gobble up the stuff that I require in the office but something that could also double up as a travel companion. Given my requirements, Carbonado sent us a couple of gaming backpacks which not only combine rugged looks with good build quality but great functionality as well. Over the course of the past few months, this backpack has served as my daily commute companion, apart from also accompanying me on a few motorcycle road trips and air travel.

Although it is essentially designed for gamers and tech-savvy people who need to carry a bucket load of equipment on them, I can see why it could also double up as a motorcycling backpack. It has a load-carrying capacity of 35 litres, which is great as it can gobble up a lot of stuff, like a hungry gremlin. One of the highlights of the gaming backpack has to be the unique hardshell front panel which offers protection as well as a rugged outlook when it comes to aesthetics. There are four dedicated compartments for your mouse, glasses, headset, tablet, and other accessories. Additional storage options include two water bottle pouches on both sides and a top pouch which is perfect for shades or peripherals. There are also some neat touches splattered here and there, including a built-in USB charging port, a strap to hold your headphones and a dedicated hook to hold your keys in place.

For comfort, the Gaming backpack is equipped with Gill flow technology in the back panel for airflow and breathability. It also comes with broad shoulder straps that are well padded, apart from the chest strap as well. Again, the most impressive thing about this backpack is how much stuff it can hold, which is tremendous. The other thing which I found impressive was the build quality. The Gaming backpack not only looks premium, but it feels that way too. During its very first excursion out in the real world, it was exposed to the harsh lands of Ladakh. I recently went on a solo voyage in the land of high passes with nothing but a motorcycle and this backpack to keep me company. At the end of the trip, I was really impressed by its storage and quality. However, comfort is one area where I believe the backpack could be a bit better because it starts eating into the rider’s shoulders over longer rides. Apart from that, for the price it is being retailed at, the Carbonado Gaming backpack is a serious player which offers great storage space, looks the part and feels premium too.
