2023 Bharat GP | Time To Qualify | Mooney VR46 Racing Team On Fire, Pecco Struggle, Japanese Manufacturers Show Positive Signs And More

The initial day at Bharat GP proved to be quite eventful, as manufacturers and riders alike put forth their best efforts in finding the perfect position to compete and achieve the ideal balance necessary for success. Mooney VR46 Racing Team has been the absolute showrunner, as their riders- Luca Marini and Marco Bezzecchi- finish in the top 5. Luca Marini managed to clinch the top position with the fastest lap time of 1:44.782. Jorge Martin of Prima Pramac Racing demonstrated his unwavering championship mentality, relentlessly pursuing Luca and coming agonizingly close, just 0.008 seconds away. Aleix Espargaro from Aprilia Racing secured 3rd spot with a lap time of  1:44.833. 

Fabio Quartararo from Yamaha, who earlier faced mechanical issues in FP1, managed to regain his confidence by securing the eighth spot. Francesco Bagnaia, the championship leader, struggled throughout the practice but managed to show his magic with the 7th position finish in the last 10 minutes. Maverick Vinales from Aprilia Racing finished P6. Repsol Honda Team star rider and six-time GP champion - Marc Marquez's timings kept shuffling quite a bit, giving his fans a tough time to watch, but in the end, he managed to clinch position 4 in the table. His teammate, Joan Mir, also showed a great run and finished P10, thus securing the top 10 spot for the manufacturer. Johann Zarco from Prima Pramac Racing finished P9 with a lap time of 1:45.305. KTM star rider Brad Binder, who had a perfect start to the day, failed to put in his best lap time to qualify. Tomorrow will be an exciting day to watch, wherein action will unfold from 10:40, followed by a 12-lap sprint race at 15:30.
