Polestar Unveils Stunning Two-Seat Roadster Concept

Polestar has introduced a breathtaking new two-seat roadster concept at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, signaling a potential future addition to its motorsport-inspired lineup. This new concept, named the Concept BST, is a track-focused evolution of the upcoming Polestar 6 sports car.

The Concept BST gets significant enhancements, including a removable roof, a vented bonnet, a front splitter, a large rear wing, and beefed-up wheel arches. It also features a notably wider track and sits on 22-inch alloy wheels. This marks it as the second Polestar model to carry the BST branding, following the limited-edition Polestar 2 BST Edition 270. The previous model, unveiled in concept form at Goodwood in 2021, entered limited production the following year with a lower ride height, stiffer springs, and adjustable dampers.

Maintaining its performance roots, the new concept is built on the same bonded aluminum unibody platform as the Polestar 6. While official powertrain specifications are yet to be confirmed, it is expected to mirror the Polestar 6's 875 hp and 899 Nm dual-motor, four-wheel-drive setup, which incorporates 800V architecture for rapid charging capabilities.

Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath hinted at possible future production for the Concept BST, describing it as “a demonstration of how we could apply the BST formula to our line-up in the future.” This revelation comes as the production version of the Polestar 6 roadster, limited to just 500 units, made its debut at the Festival of Speed alongside the new concept. All units of the Polestar 6 roadster have already been sold out, highlighting the high demand and anticipation for Polestar's innovative designs.
