Huawei Chery Luxeed

Soon, the Tesla Model 3's challengers, who appear to be innumerable, will include yet another EV from China. This one is the result of a partnership between two organisations with stellar reputations: the tech behemoth Huawei and the automobile manufacturer Chery. Prior to the model's upcoming introduction in China sometime in the upcoming weeks or months, codenamed EH3, a sneak peek of the design was posted on social media.

Yu Chengdong, a senior official who is presently the CEO of Huawei's Intelligent Automotive Solution BU department, posted the sole photograph of the EV on Weibo. He referred to it as a "pure electric coupe" even though it has a smooth roofline, making it more like a four-door sedan. The car boasts luxury surfacing, sculpted rear shoulders, and contemporary style elements like the thin full-width LED bar at the front that assumes a grille-less appearance.

It has been confirmed that Huawei's HarmonyOS 4 software, which was unveiled last Friday at the Huawei Developers Conference 2023, would be installed on the Luxeed as the company's first automobile. This indicates that it will provide a ton of cutting-edge connection functions, especially when used with smartphones and smartwatches bearing the Huawei name.

The Exeed Sterra ES and ET luxury EVs from Chery will also utilise the E0X architecture, which is expected to power the Luxeed. This indicates that it will probably employ two electric motors and a battery pack from CATL with a range of about 700 km (435 miles). The new Huawei ADS 2.0 intelligent driving system will be equipped with 11 high-definition cameras, 12 ultrasonic radars, and 3-millimetre-wave radars to provide the model with sophisticated autonomous driving capabilities.

We anticipate learning more about Luxeed shortly because Yu Chengdong stated that it will arrive in Q3 2023. It may make its debut on August 25 at the Chengdu Auto Show. According to Car News China, the EV will start at about 200,000 ($27,803), which, if true, will make it less expensive than the Tesla Model 3. Please take note that the latter will soon be upgraded in an effort to compete with the tough rivalry.
