Demand for luxury cars gained quite a momentum last year, thus promoting brands to bring their updated models to the Indian market. Audi India has teased the coupe version of its Q3 compact luxury SUV as the Q3 Sportsback. One can book the Q3 Sportback for a token amount of Rs 2 lakhs. Audi India has not revealed the official date for the launch of the Q3 Sportback, but we suspect it to launch soon in the coming months.
The design clues are different from the Q3, with a 36mm longer length, 6mm narrower width and 49mm shorter height than the Q3 SUV. Apart from a sloping roofline, it also features a comparatively larger hexagonal honeycomb grille. From the side profile, it can be easily distinguished with new 10-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels.
The interior is identical to the Audi Q3, which gets a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen system with the Audi user interface. The car is feature-loaded, hence comes equipped with all jazz you would expect from a premium SUV. Be it a wireless charger, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, or dual-zone climate control- it gets its all. The safety is well-taken care of with 6-airbags and other essential safety equipment like ABS, EBD and TPMS.
The powertrain is also similar to that of the Q3 SUV, which gets a 2.0-litre TSI engine churning out 190hp of power and 320Nm of torque. The engine comes mated with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The car has an AWD version and can sprint from 0-100 in 7.3 seconds.
The Audi Q3 Sportback is unique in its segment, with no competitive rival. Once launched, it would be an excellent pick for someone who appreciates radical design cues and premium sporty appeal. Currently, Audi Q3 prices start from Rs 44.89 lakh and go up to Rs 50.39 lakh .
