2024 Hyundai Sonata | Sensuous Sportiness

Hyundai has unveiled the 2024 Sonata's design along with a new badge for the eighth-generation sedan, heralding its sportiest appearance ever.

The new Hyundai Sonata, revolutionizes the original Sonata's image and is resurrected as a dynamic, innovative new model with low-slung, beautiful proportions, more aggressive appearance, and future-oriented technology.

The 2024 Hyundai Sonata is a modern take on the four-door coupe that embodies Hyundai Motor's 'Sensuous Sportiness' design philosophy. Hyundai has done far more than merely modify the Sonata's front appearance. It has also designed a redesigned bonnet with more accentuated character lines for it. Moreover, the facelifted Sonata has a black garnish at the bottom of the body and a slew of new characteristics at the back. Notable improvements include a redesigned boot lid and an LED light bar. N Line variants also have redesigned twin mufflers and stand out 19-inch wheels.

Sporty Exteriors

The Hyundai Sonata emphasizes its individual image with a N Line-based external design that expresses sports coupe look with a long hood, low front end, and fastback roof line.

Sonata's low-slung exterior epitomizes 'The Sportiness' with a horizontal front-end layout that incorporates Hyundai's iconic Seamless Horizon Lamp, concealed headlights, broad grille, and air intake for a more dynamic and aggressive appearance. The Seamless Horizon Lamp and wide-set, concealed headlights produce a striking lighting effect that emphasizes the vehicle's broad stance while adding a modern touch.

The contrast between crisp, linear features and smooth flexible surfaces emphasizes the dynamic design. The black garnish at the bottom of the body increases towards the back, lending a distinct personality to the Hyundai Sonata.

The new H-lights at the back enhance Sonata's high-tech look and broad stance even further. The basic model's swooping spoiler-shaped boot lid and muffler-shaped rear garnish create the appearance of a high-performance sports sedan, while the N Line adds a rear spoiler and dual twin-tip mufflers, as well as unique 19-inch wheels.

Sensuous Interiors

The inside of the new Hyundai Sonata features a driver-centric layout that complements its sportier outward image while incorporating a future mobility sensibility with sensitive high-tech touches to accommodate modern lives.

Sonata sports a panoramic curved display for the first time in a Hyundai vehicle, combining both 12.3-inch driver information clusters and 12.3-inch AVN infotainment system in a modern and simple dashboard arrangement that emphasizes horizontal lines and an enlarged sense of space. The instrument panel's touch-type climate control panel adds to the high-tech ambience.

The inside has been significantly upgraded for a better passenger experience, with sophisticated interior color combinations that accentuate both the sensation of sportiness and luxury character.

The interior 'floating' concept of the Hyundai Sonata gives a futuristic atmosphere. A column-type shift-by-wire controller installed behind the steering wheel frees up room in the center console. The palm rest, which extends the armrest to allow the driver to lean up to the palm of the hand, adds to the comfort of the center console. The spacious cup holder and tray add to the convenience.

The 2024 Hyundai Sonata will be presented in full at the Seoul Mobility Show, which runs from March 30 to April 9, and will most likely make its first appearance on US soil on April 6 at the New York International Auto Show.
