Kia India has finally unveiled the facelifted Seltos, which was launched in 2019, and ever since then, it hasn't been updated despite the facelifted Seltos having made its global debut in June 2022. The new facelift gets major cosmetic changes, minor interior updates and a new engine option. One can book the new facelifted Seltos from July 14. Here's what's new and changed.
2023 Kia Seltos: Exterior Design
Kia Seltos incorporated a significant overhaul in terms of exterior design. The car's front and rear fascia now look different from the outgoing model as it gets a revised grille with redesigned LED headlamp and foglamp unit. The rear gets a long L-shaped LED strip running across the width. It also gets redesigned bumper and a refreshed tailgate design with fewer chrome bits. The biggest update one would notice when viewed from the sides - is the new 18-inch, dual-tone alloy wheels. The car now looks more modern and youthful than before. In terms of colours option, the car gets a new Pewter Olive colour along with eight other solid colours and two dual-tone options. The GT Line and X Line will get a slightly different body kit than the Tech Line trims. The turbo-petrol trim will differentiate themselves from others with the inclusion of dual exhaust pipes.
2023 Kia Seltos: Interiors and Features
The notable feature on the inside is the two 10.25-inch displays that form a single large unit, out of which one is a fully digital instrument cluster, and the other is an infotainment screen. The dashboard layout is also enhanced with new touch controls. 2023 facelift Kia Seltos now gets a large panoramic sunroof and an 8-inch heads-up display. Apart from that, it now gets 17 ADAS functions like forward collision warning assist, blind spot collision warning, and lane keep assist. The car will have six standard airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, ESC and Hill Assist Control.
2023 Kia Seltos: Powertrain
The Seltos will now have three engine options - a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine producing 116hp of power and 250Nm of torque. There is also a 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces 115hp of power and 144Nm of torque. Kia has introduced a 1.5-l turbo petrol engine that replaces an old 1.4-l engine. Turbo-petrol engine produces 160 hp of power and 250 Nm of torque and comes mated to a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
