VinFast VF6 Revealed at Auto Expo 2025

At the Auto Expo 2025, VinFast unveiled the VF6, an electric SUV positioned below the VF7 in the brand’s lineup. The VF6, expected to launch later this year, is designed to compete against electric SUVs like the Hyundai Creta Electric, Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, Mahindra BE 6, and Tata Curvv EV.

VinFast VF6: Dimensions and Design

The VF6 measures 4,238mm in length, 1,820mm in width, and 1,594mm tall and has a 2,730mm wheelbase, which puts it in the same range as the Hyundai Creta. The SUV has 17-inch alloy wheels, contributing to its sleek and muscular design. The front end features a VinFast V motif variation, with slim grille elements and full-width daytime running lights. The headlights and fog lamps are positioned lower near the bumper, giving the VF6 a distinctive look.

The SUV’s design is further emphasized by black cladding running from the front to the rear, sharp creases and cuts along the bonnet and sides. The rear features a coupe-like roofline, a spoiler, and slim LED taillights, which also use the ‘V’ motif and stretch across the vehicle's width.

VinFast VF6: Powertrain and Performance

The VF6 is powered by a 59.6kWh battery pack, similar in size to its competitors in the electric SUV segment. The Eco variant is equipped with a 178bhp electric motor producing 250Nm of torque, offering a claimed WLTP range of 399km on a full charge. The Plus variant, on the other hand, has a 204bhp motor that generates 310Nm of torque, with a slightly lower range of 381km.

Features of VinFast VF6

Both Eco and variants have comprehensive features, including a Level 2 ADAS suite, a 12.9-inch infotainment touchscreen, and over-the-air (OTA) update capabilities. Despite the difference in power and range, the two variants share most of their equipment.

Pricing and Availability

The VF6 is expected to be priced competitively in the Indian market. It offers a balance of range, power, and technology. The launch is anticipated to happen later in 2025. Further details on pricing and specific availability will be announced closer to the release date.
