In 2024, McLaren won its ninth Formula 1 constructors’ championship. To modern Formula 1 viewers, this might have felt like their first win, as their previous championship was in 1998. McLaren is set to launch an extremely limited run of MCL38 Celebration Edition Artura and 750S models to celebrate this achievement.
“The relentless pursuit of excellence is intrinsic to the McLaren mindset, and in 2024, we demonstrated this with incredible success on both the track and the road. The achievements of Zak Brown, Andrea Stella, Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri and the entire McLaren Racing team in winning the Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship are beyond inspirational – and what better way to mark this than with an ultra-exclusive Celebration Edition of our award-winning Artura and 750S,” said Michael Leiters, CEO, McLaren Automotive.
Limited Editions
What does extremely limited even mean? Well, not one hundred, not fifty, but just nine Artura and nice 750S MCL38 Celebration Edition cars will be available globally. Mind-boggling, ain’t it?
Colour Scheme
The car's colour scheme will be heavily inspired by the livery of the 2024 MCL38 Formula 1 car. The Artura and 750S MC38 Celebration Edition will be presented in Papaya Orange and Black. The exterior highlights include a champions’ laurel, a Nine-Star logo, and Papaya Orange break callipers.
Interiors
Inside, each car will feature a plaque with a genuine piece of carbon fibre from the championship-winning MCL38 F1 car. The driver’s side Visual Carbon Fibre Extended Sill Cover is signed by F1 drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, and the seat headrests are embroidered with a champions’ laurel. Under the front trunk, a track record plaque lists the MCL38’s pole positions, race wins, and fastest laps from the Formula 1 2024 season.
Conclusion
These cars will end up in some very rich people's car collections. Hopefully, we will see one in India as well. Pricing for the Celebration Editions hasn’t been announced yet, but the standard 750S starts at $318,025 and the Artura at $254,100. These limited edition models are bound to have a premium price tag and be offered to only McLaren’s VIP buyers.
